Recent legislation expanding the powers of the ultra-secret FISA court are infringing upon Americans’ Fourth Amendment rights, according to watchdog groups. The United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC, also called FISA Court) is a Federal court set up to oversee surveillance warrant requests made by federal law enforcement agencies, like the FBI and NSA, against suspected foreign intelligence agents inside the United States.
