Abbas: Jerusalem ‘Eternal Capital Of Palestine’

Mahmoud Abbas declares Jerusalem the “Eternal Capital of Palestine” on Sunday

PLO Chairman Mahmoud Abbas declared the disputed city of Jerusalem the “Eternal Capital of the State of Palestine” in a victory speech on Sunday, marking the United Nation’s vote recognizing Palestinian sovereignty.

“Raise your heads high, because you are Palestinians!” Abbas told a joyous Ramallah crowd that came to welcome him home after Thursday’s historic vote at the U.N.

“You have proof that you are stronger than the occupation, because you are Palestinians… stronger than the settlements, because you are Palestinians,” he quoted as saying by Israel Nation News.

“We were threatened with punishment and sanctions from various sides,” Abbas continued, referring to American, Israeli and European attempts to prevent the vote from happening. “And if we had listened to those threats we wouldn’t have gone to the U.N.”

“One day, a young Palestinian will raise the Palestinian flag over Jerusalem,” he vowed, “the eternal capital of the state of Palestine!”

  • There is no Palestine. There are no Palestinians. There has never been such an entity or people in history. They are properly called Philistines, people who are guided by materialism and are usually disdainful of intellectual or artistic values and are barbaric.
