Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will now testify about the terrorist attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi this December, reversing her previous stance of staying mum on the issue.
Clinton will testify in early- to mid-December about the State Department’s own Libya review findings, Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.) announced on Thursday.
Clinton will speak before the House and Senate foreign affairs committees, reports FOX News. The hearings will be open.
As previously reported, Clinton said through a spokesperson that should would be “out of country” and unable to testify at the hearings this week. This is despite Congresswoman Ros-Lehtinen’s repeated requests for Clinton to testify, going back two months.
