New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has called opponents of the building of an Islamic mosque two blocks away from Ground Zero in Manhattan “un-American.”
“Islam did not attack the World Trade Center — Al-Qaeda did,” Mayor Bloomberg said during an address at an annual Iftar celebrating Ramadan at Gracie Mansion Tuesday night. “To implicate all of Islam for the actions of a few who twisted a great religion is unfair and un-American.”
The developer of the mosque, Sharif el-Gamal and Imam Rauf’s wife, Daisy Khan were both in attendance at the Iftar.

7. He’s hijacked an already dysfunctional school system and turned it into a nightmare where test score results are cooked (just as the crime stats are cooked) to make them appear that students are faring better.
