Dr. Laura Schlessinger
Radio psychologist Dr. Laura Schlessinger has announced she ending her nationally-syndicated talk radio show at the end of this year, after repeatedly using the dreaded “N-word” on the air last week.
Dr. Laura made the announcement during an interview on The Larry King Show last night, vowing that she will not go away, but continue to battle for her First Amendment rights.
“I want to be able to say what’s on my mind, what’s in my heart, and what I feel is helpful and useful without somebody getting angry, some special interest group deciding this is a time to silence a voice of dissent,” Dr. Laura said. “I’m sort of done with that.”
The talk radio psychologist said she would turn her focus on books and Internet ventures.
“I’m not retiring, I’m quitting, I feel energized, actually, stronger and freer to say the things that need to be said,” Dr. Laura told Larry King.
Dr. Laura dropped an N-cluster-bomb on her radio show last week when an African-American caller asked for advice about her interracial relationship (WARNING: audio is uncensored and contains language that may offend):

seems like Dr. Laura’s desire to be quick witted and sharp tonged has officially bit her in the butt. If she would have really listened to the caller I think she may have let her know that the guy may have some unintentional racist tendencies, but really the issue is that she’s all trying to push it back on the woman on the phone. Wow, Dr. Laura is bitter thinking there are some “Black Activists” out there with an agenda… interesting how the racism came out of her. Kudos to the caller for standing up to her, Dr. Laura can be a real bully.

If you ask me I believe that this woman set up dr.laura. She took the word "nigger" the wrong way and went after dr. laura for saying it. Sounds like dr. laura's first amendment rights were taken away from her. Especially when and if the company (salem broadcasting) took her show off the air.
