US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton urged Americans last Wednesday to give to suffering Pakistanis after a deadly flood killed over a thousand people. Then gave $10.
“I just texted a contribution myself, because we know from our own experience, particularly in Haiti, small donations can add up to make a big difference,” Clinton told reporters.
“Americans have always shown great generosity to people facing crises worldwide. So I urge Americans to join this effort and send some much needed help to the people of Pakistan.”
Donations will help the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees provide basic necessities to some 3 million people affected by flooding in the Swat Valley.
The US has already committed US$10 million to the effort, and deployed “relief experts” to help airlift people out of danger.
Clinton, who once said that “we must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society,” recently spent an estimated US $5 – 6 million on a wedding for her daughter Chelsea.

Just like Obama when he lectures the rest of America to sacrifice as he sends his America-hating wife on a world-class vacation in Spain along with her friends at the expense of the U.S. taxpayers.
Do you remember when the Clintons first took office and their past tax returns indicated that the only charitable contributions they made were Bill’s used underwear?

The clintonians will throw a million dollar party that they claim is a wedding for there daughter, but will only give 10 dollars to help poor people who can’t afford to buy even a sandwich. That is a great example of what they think of other people like you and me.
Judging by the ignorant comments above, I am guessing that the meaning of a symbolic gesture is far too complicated for those looking at things from… the right perspective.
