Charges Against Maxine Waters Revealed

Maxine Waters

Anonymous sources familiar with the ethics violations investigation of California Democrat Congresswoman Maxine Waters have revealed the charges, reports AP.

Waters is accused of violating:

  • A rule that House members may not exert improper influence that results in a personal benefit.
  • The government employees’ ethics code, which prohibits granting or accepting special favors, for the employee or family members, that could be viewed as influencing official actions.
  • A rule that members’ conduct must reflect creditably on the House.

Waters, who is a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee, claims innocence against the charges and will face trial this fall.

Fellow Democrat Congressman Charlie Rangel will also face an ethics trial this fall.

A report published by the Office of Congressional Ethics Monday shows that Waters knew of a possible conflict of interest when she advocated for a bank her husband owned stock in and was one of its directors, but acted anyway.

Some members of the Black Congressional Caucus, to whom both Rangel and Waters belong, believe African-American lawmakers are being selectively targeted by the OCE because of their race.

What is the percentage of crime in general that AA’s are responsible for? 70%? 80%? Why it be any different for people in congress?

    @ reston4,

Yes, speaking of mayors (Marion Barry), I forgot to mention Ken Gibson and Sharpe James – two consecutive black mayors of Newark, NJ who were convicted of major crimes.

It doesn’t matter where they’re propped up, the same result is inevitable.

The UCR compiles stats which should answer your question:

As you can see, the “AAs” (13% of the population) are overrepresented in every category except a few driving offenses, which can be easily explained by the lack of cars available to them.

Keep in mind, the Hispanics are jumbled into the White percent distribution, as where “AAs” are their own entity.

The facts don’t lie, and I certainly won’t argue with some mamby-pamby emotional wreck who has to try and rationalize these figures by making excuses for them in the future of these comments. Especially the morons who try to use poverty as an excuse. Poverty is found in all races, and yet one sticks out like a sore thumb. And how does poverty cause rape? lol.

    Enjoy.
