Watermelon
Missouri resident Darwin Holly has been fired from his job at at TAMKO Building Products after a coworker heard him call a watermelon “Obama fruit.”
Holly was about to eat the fruit at a company picnic when he made the comment. A co-worker overheard the statement and reported him for racial harassment. Holly was fired shortly after.
Holly was also denied unemployment benefits by the Missouri Court of Appeals, even though he argued he was making a political statement by calling the president a “melon head.”

The drug companies really need to get moving on the cure for thin skin.
If the person who said a statement like that were white and the person who heard were white or black would anyone have been fired ? No!!! This is discrimination!!! How many times has a black person made racist statements about any white president and not been fired ? This is just discrimination at it’s best.
If A Black person had asked for more “crackers” at this picnic would they have been fired as well?

It’s a shame the innocent watermelon has to get caught in the middle. Now it will grow up to be a rapist, a criminal, and/or a drug addict because of a poor environment.
(Not because it makes its own choices and is responsible for them) That would be preposterous!

humor is with the beholder. here in Chicago the well to do whites living in the John Hancock Center probably laughed their tails off.the blacks at 63rd and cottage grove probably didn't.
