“Coffee Party” Exposed As Obama Op

Obama operative Anabel Park

An alternative grassroots movement has been exposed as a fake, phony and fraud, run by an Obama operative meant to take the steam out of the Tea Party.

A self-described “documentary filmmaker who lives outside Washington,” 41-year-old Annabel Park has amassed some 40,000 members for her coffee clatch via a Facebook page, whose campaign slogan is “Wake Up and Stand Up.”

“We’re not the opposite of the Tea Party,” Park told the New York Times. “We’re a different model of civic participation, but in the end we may want some of the same things.”

“We need to roll up our sleeves, put our heads together and work it out,” she said. “That’s, to me, an American way of doing this.”

However, PrisonPlanet.com reports that the Park campaigned for Barack Obama during the 2008 campaign, later organizing and operating the influential United for Obama video channel at YouTube.

PrisonPlanet quotes Park as gushing for Obama:

I found that people have little understanding of the change that Senator Barack Obama is advocating. I thought from my experience in using videos for civil movements that videos would be the best way to promote the need for change and for Obama. That’s why I decided to work for the Obama campaign

Park has made more than 20 videos promoting Obama and his agenda.

How does this expose anthing? Many people in the Coffee Party movement campaigned for Obama and Clinton. It’s a Liberal and Progressive movement made up of politicaly active members.

Saying the Coffee Party has been "exposed as an Obama op" makes it sound like you (or someone) found some secret information. Annabel Park has tons of videos up on YouTube. Not exactly a secret.

It is a little weird that they say they stand for civil discourse and don't align with any party, because they're obviously progressive. I wish they'd take more of a stand on issues. But then again, I think the idea is to let the tenets of the party develop natural via said civil discourse, rather than proclaim them from the outset.

What’s with the Orwellian new speak. When did ‘progressive’ become better than ‘liberal’?

It’s never a surprise the degree that these groups go to trying to copy, or mislead people into following the masters call.

“Alternative grass roots” I guess someone should point this out to Pelosi so she knows what real “astro-turf” movements look like.
