Questions still linger
An Arizona state House committee approved a measure Tuesday that will force US President Barack Hussein Obama to show his birth certificate to state officials if he runs for re-election.
The measure was proposed by Skull Valley Republican Rep. Judy Burges and sponsored by 40 of the state’s 90 legislators. It would require presidential candidates who want to appear on the ballot in Arizona to submit documents proving they meet the requirements to be president.

Burges says if people have to prove their citizenship to apply for a job or get a passport, they should have to prove it to run for president.
The “natural born” issue, once thought dead, has regained national attention after Arizona Senatorial candidate, Republican J.D. Hayworth, was attacked by incumbent Senator John McCain for bringing it up on the campaign trail.
During the US Presidential election, Democrats questioned then-candidate John McCain’s eligibility to be president based on his “natural born” status. The US Senate made a resolution declaring McCain, who was born on a military base in the Panama Canal, was indeed a Natural Born Citizen and met the Constitutional qualifications to be President.
Kenya claims Obama was born there.
Obama, who has been plagued with daunting questions of his own natural born status since before the election, signed the Senate resolution clearing McCain.
All 40 co-sponsors of the measure are Republicans, comprising 75 percent of the GOP caucus. Two of them have since resigned to run for Congress.

Even if this is true that he should be disqualified should he be forced to resign and

I think it’s about time. I had to show my birth certificate to get a marriage license, a drivers license, a job, a passport. Why would we allow someone, anyone, to become President of the US without showing one? Why seal all your records? Why spend loads of taxpayer dollars to keep these things hidden? Something here is not on the up and up and citizen’s deserve answers. If there is no problem then stop the secrecy and produce the facts.
So glad to have discovered this web site. People are thinking and they are seeing thru Odrama man. This is good. Perhaps enough will be angered to take this situation in hand and prove that the O man should never have run for the job he is not qualified for.
What an amusing article. The confusion with Mr. McCain was whether or not being born on a military base made him a natural born citizen. It is easy to understand why a few people were confused about Mr. McCain’s status, since he wasn’t born in one of the states of America. However, Barack Obama being born in Hawaii makes it obvious that there is no need for misunderstanding or confusion.
None of this is what make the article amusing. What makes it amusing is the fact that John McCain didn’t have to show his birth certificate. It will be funny having State of Arizona demanding presidential candidates born in Arizona to show their birth certificates.
Next time Arizona should just phone the birth state of the presidential candidates, as it would be cheaper.
Are you REALLY that stupid people? You put a photo-shopped sign on your article of a sign on the Omani/UAE border that is clearly a fake (for one thing, Arabic is not spoken in Kenya so why would such a sign exist with Arabic lettering?). Anybody with 2-minutes of free time can verify that sign. Unbelievable I can’t imagine how ignorant and stupid anybody would be who actually think there is any merit or validity to the claim that he was born in Kenya when the evidence is overwhelming he was born in Hawaii. There are many things you can be critical about him, but him not being born in Hawaii isn’t (coincidently it wouldn’t have mattered if he was born in Kenya – he was still born to a US citizen which would make him a natural-born citizen as well).
