Former Alaska Governor and Republican Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, has endorsed Rand Paul in his bid for the GOP US Senate nomination.
“I’m proud to support great grassroots candidates like Dr. Paul. While there are issues we disagree on, he and I are both in agreement that it’s time to shake up the status quo in Washington and stand up for common sense ideas,” Palin said through Meghan Stapleton, senior adviser and spokeswoman for the Palin family and Palin’s political action committee, SarahPAC.
Palin also backed up her words with a hefty donation of US $2,000 to Dr. Paul’s campaign via SarahPAC.
Dr. Paul, the son of libertarian/Republican presidential candidate and congressman Ron Paul, later expressed his pleasure at receiving Palin’s backing. “It’s further evidence of conservatives coalescing around our campaign,” he said in a telephone interview with reporters.
The Tea Party favorite added that while there are no current plans for Palin to campaign for him in Kentucky, he “would love to have her come and we will continue to have conversations.”

Sarah Palin is nothing more than a Neo-Con Pin up girl. She is NOT the leader of the real Tea Party or Liberty movement. No one in good conscience would endorse both Rand and John McShame.
Think People, this women is a FRAUD !
Awesome, tea partiers unite. Constitution and the free market, a damned good combo!
Good for Sarah. Though I cannot understand for the life of me why she endorses big government neocons like John McCain and Rick Perry – she does stand out for endorsing a true constitutionalist and freedom champion like Rand.
Ron Paul is a real Republican not a Libertarian.
She endorsed big government neocons because all evidence says that she is a big government neocon. She said she disagrees with Rand Paul on some issues. I’ll bet these include her belief in invading countries and global hegemony, dismantling civil liberties via the Patriot Act and warrantless wiretapping, unchecked executive power, the continued use of a private banking cartel (Federal Reserve) for our monetary system, using federal government to impose “morality” on the nation and legislate how we should behave, the continued war on drugs, etc.
The Rand Paul endorsement is surprising but I guess it’s just a political ploy.
Guys, Palin obviously has to support McCain because she owes him. Furthermore, she’s supporting Perry because they’ve been friends for several years. People tend to support their friends…
Palin needs to reconsider her $100,000 fee to speak at the upcoming National Tea Party. Sponsors are bailing out and so are some previous speakers because they’re charging so much for tickets, that it might be considered a violation of House ethics. The Tea Party better drop the profit motivation before they destroy the very thing that created it. Greed will kill any system. They finally get people up and active to fight the nonsense, and now they’re destroying it. Grass roots, baby! That dope, Obammy, and his ACORN tards didn’t offer anything but a bus ride to the polls and a side of hope and change, and people showed up in droves.
The plan is already laid out and the idiots have to go and stray away from it. This is the year to get these clowns out and get back to some normalcy in spending and taxing. Even China put everything on hold to see what happens. If greed ruins the Tea Party Movement, this country is doomed to repeat the last year over and over again, only on a grander scale as each year goes by.
Dr. Rand Paul can’t be a true Libertarian if he’s aligning himself with Palin who promotes starting a new war with Iran. As well as the fact that Palin prides herself in the fact that she made big business (the Oil Industry) give everyone in Alaska a welfare check. His dad Ron Paul would have never agreed with either. It makes me wonder if Rand Paul is just a shield for the GOP?
