Feminists Whine About Tebow “Choice” Ad

Feminist groups, upset that any woman would make the choice of life over abortion, have geared up and are looking to sack an upcoming Super Bowl advert that celebrates a woman who chose not to have an abortion.

Conservative Christian group Focus on the Family plans to air a commercial during Super Bowl XLIV featuring American football hero Tim Tebow and his mother, Pam – who will tell the story of how, as a pregnant missionary in the Philippines, she contacted dysentery and was told to terminate her pregnancy, as the medicine had a chance of causing birth defects. Pam Tebow’s “choice” of not having an abortion produced her son, the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Tim Tebow.

Women’s Media Center has written a whiny letter signed by an array of feminist groups, saying the ad throws women “under the bus” and “endangers women’s health.” The ultra-feminist activist group even suggests pro-life ads have resulted in “escalated violence” against abortionists, and uses the “H” word to describe the pro-life campaign. “We sincerely hope you do not want CBS associated with this brand of un-American hate.”

In an effort to achieve fairness, CBS has offered pro-choice groups a chance to purchase time during the Super Bowl to air their own message. No groups have taken up the offer.

I believe Mrs. Tebow did the right thing. She trusted in God to bring her through it.

See, these other people, if you can call them that, don't believe in God so an unborn baby means nothing to them.

  2. Shelly says

I don't think those groups understand the definition of the word "choice." In their minds it only means "kill babies." I applaud Pam Tebow for having the courage to stand up and share her story of life. Tim is not a choice. He's a young man who is the same person he was inside his mother's womb–he's just bigger.

I believe Mrs. Tebow is a liar, since abortion is illegal and abhorred in the Philippines. If one part of her story isn't true, then probably the whole argument is flawed. It didn't take courage for her to make these choices… she made them out of fear from damnation and now is talking about them to ride her son's coattails.

    @ Scott:

Being a missionary, Mrs. Tebow would have had medical treatment at a US military facility. As the military is not religious, the doctors there would have recommended abortion as part of a medical treatment.

Mrs. Tebow had a choice and she made the right one.

Pam Tebow, hooray for you. You didn't abort Tim and UF gets a star quarterback. Great story. But, that's your story. A story that started with a choice you have every right to make. You don't get to make that choice for everyone else, however. While I respect your opinion and certainly respect your decision, you have to respect mine. Why this nonsense will be permissible on the Superbowl, and a woman's breast is not, is beyond me. And to the writer of this post, you should be ashamed. Whine? Pam Tebow speaks proudly while her opposition whines? They're standing up to the people that have no right to be in their womb.

  6. Eileen in Idaho says

Sarai, unless you were raped, the little person in your womb was put there by your own CHOICE to have sex! God helped you to put it there. What kind of person would murder a member of her own family? If my older sister is an inconvenience to me, is it OK to murder her too? No, I DO NOT respect your choice to murder your own child. If you wait until it is born and then murder it, what is the difference? Killing is killing. The Bible says not to do it. I realize that THE BIBLE is only read by "some" people and is thought to be "out of date" by the ones who have been "enlightened" by Liberal Communist college professors since the 1960's. But, I still believe it is THE WORD OF GOD and I choose God's opinion over yours. Sorry.

God Bless you Mrs. Tebow..for Making the right choice for your baby.. And CBS for once standing up for what is right…TWICE now!

And because the Western Christian Nations turned their backs to Yahweh by allowing abortion (fetus murder) to be legalized they lost many generations of workers who now have to be substituted by non-white immigration.

In a normal and sane society that would be equated with "suicide" but now I think we should call it "stupidity".

Yahweh has murdered more children that all the abortion Doctors put together.

Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones. — Psalm 137:9

The LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon…. And there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead. — Exodus 12:29-30

these “pro choice” people expose themselves for what they are – pro abortion. they are not open to any other choice (the kind Sarah Palin made).

stop playing into their propaganda. call them “pro abortion” as it is what they are.
