A motley crew of Leftist groups in Europe and elsewhere have let out an incessant caterwaul ever since Swiss voters instituted a ban on the building of Muslim minarets in their country.
“Like cheese and watches, such intolerance promises to be an export product,” whined Victor Grossman in The Leftist Green-Left Weekly, who went on to tie the Swiss vote to a rise in “fascism” in Europe. Grossman incorrectly states in his article that the four existing minarets in Switzerland broadcast the Muslim call to prayer five times a day. As previously reported, while the towers are used for this purpose elsewhere in the world, they do not in Switzerland.
Turkish commentator Mustafa Akyol was most prolific in tying the vote to The Third Reich, titling his op-ed, “Aryan supremacy reigns supreme in Switzerland” which gave an introductory course in Nazi ideology in the Daily News and Economic Review.
Muslim-American activist group CAIR cried out to Barack Obama for help. “Our nation’s silence on this flagrant denial of religious freedom would send a very negative message throughout the Muslim world, which must improve its own record on religious rights,” wrote CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad in a press statement.
In a typically suicidal stance, Left-wing Jewish groups have sided with Muslims on the minaret ban. Rabbi Pinchas Dunner, executive director of the Conference of European Rabbis, an Orthodox organization, said “a war on religious freedom cannot defeat Islamic extremists” and called on “interfaith dialogue” to expel radicals.
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) issued a press statement joining the Federation of Swiss Jewish Communities (FSJC) in their opposition to the referendum. The FSJC was opposed to even having the vote take place to begin with.
“The referendum result amounts to an attack on the fundamental values of mutual respect,” said The American Jewish Committee’s David Harris.
Jewish-American neo-conservative Michael Medved said he wanted America “to be the place in the world for Muslims to live” on his talk radio show.
Iran Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki
The whining was echoed by Leftist countries. French Ambassador Christophe Bigot told The Jerusalem Post that “Muslims, like Catholics, like Jews, should be allowed to worship the way they wish. So why limit construction of mosques?”.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has also complained about the Swiss vote. Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki told Swiss counterpart Micheline Calmy-Rey that the vote went “against the prestige of a country which claims to be an advocate of democracy and human rights” in a telephone call after the referendum passed.
Mottaki ominously warned the Swiss Foreign Minister of the “consequences” of anti-Islamic acts.

The conservative Swiss believed, rightly or wrongly, that the minaret is a symbol of Islamic superiority, or something like that. Anyway, it gives off bad vibes to Christians, after all, Islam did very early on try to impose itself onto Europe, and was successful in Spain and southern France, and in Sicily and Europeans had to push back with everything they had. Then Europeans really pushed back hard with the Crusades and the Inquisition. Muslims want to tell the story how kind and generous they were way back then towards religious minorities but the west just doesn’t buy in on that version of history.
So anyway that crescent is a symbol representing violence to many people even when it might be dear to the hearts of some Muslims.
The longer Obama waits to reinstitute the Draft so that we can send a few million U.S. GIs to Iran, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria plus more to Iraq and some left over in case that faggot Putin gives us any shit over defending ourselves and our allies, the more likely it will be that we will lose all freedoms as well as our ability to export freedom to other parts of the world. I have a proposal. When major Islamic figures come forward and renounce dhimmitude and permit the construction of new Christian churches in Moslem states the ban will be rescinded.

As someone who lives in Olde Europe I can attest that, should the same vote have been conducted in any country in Europe, the same result would have been achieved: somewhere between a small and large majority (depending on local demographics: remember – some Euroean cities have populations that are 30% Muslim now) would have been in favour of a ban.
Why? Because minarets – described by the Turkish Prime Minister as ‘Islam’s bayonets’ – are the symbol of Islamism (ie rule solely by Islam with no Western concept of civil rights) – and their construction in Europe has been largely financed by the extreme Saudi Wahabbi sect of Islam. Even moderate imams in the UK have come out in favour of the ban because they are so horrified by the tactis of Islamic extremists!
Not that you would know any of this from reading the MSM – particularly in the USA whose MSM seems to be stuffed to the rafters with liberals who would rather see their culture destroyed rather than ever be accused of being ‘islamophobic’ etc – the silly, out of touch bunch of wusses (excuse my swearing, ie ‘liberals’ hehe). I would like to see the liberals support Christians in the Middle East who continue to be discriminated against. Why is there no passion and fury when they are murdered and tortured and churches are destroyed? What is it about the West and educated elites that makes it okay for Eastern Christians to suffer? As an Eastern Christian I would like to know.

They will agree that it was under the Ottoman Empire. Did you know that Muslims, at the pinnacle of their power, were taxed in order to maintain Christian Churches and Jewish Synagogues? Also, did the Holocaust, WWI, WWI, the Korean War, Vietnam, the Rape of Nanking, the rise of Communism and the death of literally Hundreds of MILLIONS or any of these massively destructive and thoroughly senseless idealogical wars originate due to Islam?
Furthermore, there is an interesting uncovering of Islam in regards to the history of America. This discussion is led by a Harvard Hollis Scholar and graduate from its School of Divinity, Dr. Jerald Dirks, and is called Muslims in America: A Forgotten Legacy. To top that off, the preservation of the Bible was not done by the Christians and Jews in the Dark Ages of Europe; it was kept by the Muslims, who were the epitome of civilization at the time. I could go on about the scientific breakthroughs and wealth and moral standards about the time, but I think I may have made my point.
You really should not belittle Muslims, as they were the sustainers of society while Europe was floundering about in ignorance. Now they are trying to uphold moral values, as the “West” happens to be undergoing a collapse.

The Swiss have banned merely the construction of an architectural element whose political characteristics were once proudly disclosed by the proclamation of Turkish PM Erdogan. Notably, the Swiss have not banned the construction or establishment of mosques. Meanwhile, Turkey and the rest of the Islamic countries maintain a ban on not only architectural elements, but complete moratoria on the construction of churches and synagogues. Where are the protests against the Turkish/Islamic ban? Do the voices of outrage rise up against the patently oppressive policies of Turkey and the rest of the Islamic world, or does the deafening silence of the protestors evidence a hidden, Islamist agenda? The answer is obvious.
Notably, the unaccountable, globalist politicians of Europe are moving quickly to appease their conquerors-apparent from the Islamist World. A short-sighted Calmy-Rey is unconcerned with the long-term consequences of her overtures. The protection of investments derived from 70-year old Nazi plunder is less important to the common citizens of Switzerland than it is to the highly placed beneficiaries of Hitler’s Volksgemeinschaft in Swiss banking and industry. This elitist posture, based on short-term gain, will voluntarily relinquish Europe to the Islamists at the expense of her unsuspecting, unprepared citizens.
