Next Stop, Palookaville: Sliwa is replaced starting today.
In addition to being fired from his local radio gig at conservative New York bastion 77 WABC this week, Degenerate Dirtbag Curtis Sliwa will lose his syndication deal in two weeks time, too.
WABC program director Laurie Cantillo told the NY Daily News that Sliwa has two more weeks to broadcast his syndicated show from their studios. After that, WABC will offer those affiliates the replacing John Batchelor Show. “We’ve already gotten a lot of interest [in the Batchelor Show],” says Cantillo.
Cantillo says Batchelor will start off doing his show 7 days a week, but will eventually cut back to 6.
Cantillo said Sliwa has been “very professional,” in their departure, although she refused to call his leaving the “end of an era.”
“It was amicable on both sides,” she said.
“WABC has been a big part of my life and mine of WABC’s,” Sliwa told The News. “To be part of the No. 1 news-talk station in the country has been like playing for the Yankees for 18 years.”

This idiot was recently on the jane velez (jvm)show with a panel of other people as a “crime fighter” and they were talking about this lunatic in seattle that has a long history of rape, murder and has just recently murdered 4 cops. I am from DC/MD listening area of WMAL who had become a big Curtis fan. I just got home tonight from a meeting in DC and I was so surprised that Curtis wasn’t on! I thought I must have tuned into the wrong station by accident. Instead,there was John Batchelor. I have always looked forward to Curtis’ take on issues of the day. I found him to be a breath of fresh air compare to the stuffy, and boring policy wonk types that are so commonplace in my metropolitan area. He really made my nights. I will miss his Sliwaisms. I think that management doesn’t appreciate his downhome style because he is not an elitist like Batchelor. I find Bachelor such a big bore. Everytime I listen to Bachelor, I felt as if I was attending a boring poliical science lecture at the University of MD! Me thinks that he was let go because of the Gotti trial. It is not a coincidence that is for sure. Put 2 +2 together. I think that management got very nervous because of Curtis’ commentary of the trial and received some complaints.

Curtis Sliwa (AKA “The Maggot”) was indirectly responsible for the deaths of at least two elderly people during the time he was fraudulently concocting “phoney” incidents requiring the response of both police and fire vehicles. They could have been saved, but an advanced life support ambulance was not available. The city’s ambulance fleet was in full hour backlog at that time, and Sliwa’s publicity stunts always alleged multiple “casualties”. At the time there was only a single paramedic unit assigned per tour, with defibrillators and trained personnel. On each of Sliwa’s fraudulent calls this sole unit in the Bronx (481 at the time, the numbers have since been changed) was tied up for almost two hours per call tending to Sliwa’s phoney medical complaints. That does not count the two (count em’) basic life support ambulances that were sent as back-up on every one of Sliwa’s false “calls for help”. Three ambulances out of service for no other reason that to make money for slimeball Sliwa. In addition a full first alarm assignment responded to each incident, two engines, a truck and a battalion car, depriving neighborhoods of fire protection for between forty minutes and an hour and a half. Sliwa was never criminally charged with the D felony of reckless endangerment for his unconscionable actions. Curtis Sliwa is the most worthless despicable human ever to live in the City of New York. Curtis Sliwa, a publicity whore, lacks honor, integrity and courage. Curtis is called “the Rock” because he crawled out from under a rock.

Ever notice that all he is concerned with is his show? He really has nothing to talk about regarding the GA, except what new chapter he’s opened. They don’t accomplish a thing that he can point to.
