Just days after the terrorist shooting at Fort Hood, Texas by a devout Muslim in the military, Janet Napolitanto appointed two other devout Muslims to positions within the Department of Homeland Security.
Devout Muslim Arif Alikhan was appointed to Assistant Secretary for Policy Development at DHS. Before his appointment, Alikhan was Deputy Mayor of Los Angeles – in charge of public safety for the city – a position he held since 2006.
In 2007, Alikhan was instrumental in removing the Muslim terror tracking plan in Los Angeles.
Kareem Shora
Also appointed was devout Muslim Kareem Shora, who was born in Damascus, Syria. Shora is now a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).
His appointment was loudly applauded by the Arab-American Anti-Discrimination Comittee (ADC).
Shora joined ADC in 2000 as legal council and is a vocal advocate for Muslim civil rights.
The ADC reportedly has close ties to anti-Israel professor Rashid Khalidi.

You know not of what you speak. I have worked in upstate New York Hospitals. New York hospitals, don't have socolized medicine, You are wrong. Knee jerk right wingers who talk out of their asses are boorish. You go try and treat people who don't have insurance. See how depressed you become, a lot of these people have jobs but they can't afford coverage. A lot of the people (and I still do some volunteer work) are vets. Socialized medicine works for Canada, I've seen it. The CDC rates their health care system much better than ours and it's true. I've lived in Canada, I felt as much freedom there as I do here (in some cases more).

1)It’s not socialized or nationalized or any other scary sounding type of health care. There will be a private option so poor people (who often do work hard) that cannot afford our current corrupt insurance will be covered so they don’t die and leave their kids as orphans etc.
2)Nothing is wrong with gay marriage. It is unreasonable to want to force your views on others. Everyone here claims to be for small government and against regulations, but really left or right, people want regulation after regulation, just so long as they are in line with their political views. It is hypocritical. Why do we want the government saying who can and can’t marry? It will in no way affect me if two guys down the street get married. Plus it will make their live a whole hell of a lot better by giving them the same rights and respect that we cherish with marriage, literally the argument against that is the same as the separate but equal idea. We all know how that went right? You don’t have to like it or think it’s morally acceptable or anything. Just recognize that you shouldn’t impose your views on others just like you would want done to you.

I support Israel, and in large, their policies. I favor low taxes, tax cuts, and free trade. Time and time again these economic policies have proven to be what works. That is why I support them, and before you all get scared and run to the right, while others freak out and run to the left when Bush was in office, understand that neither party is right all the time, and think for your self rather than listening to pundits tell you what to think.
Anyone who thinks there will be elections in 2010 or that they will not be nullified if they go the “wrong way” has his head in the sand. Once Totlitarians gain control of a government, they do not “leave office” if “voted out.” No, Obama will instigate some type of crisis or announce that some problem with the “election” has regretfully caused him to invoke martial law until the situation is “stabilized,” allowing for another “election” which will, of course, never happen. Regretfully, all of this is going to end in a civil war, which is, by the way, what Obama wants. After his destruction of the US is complete, his paymasters will have him promoted to the job he really wants, the Director-General of the UN.

As far as these guys being “devout muslims”, I’m not really sure how devout they are – I didn’t see any references to that in the biographical material. Does anyone have anything beyond that email that would shed some light on that?

How about all the money the banks got and other companies, do you really think that government stimulus money will help? you really need to get off the meds and open your eyes! The health bill is not as you have painted it! The health bill gives government officials the right to micro manage and dictate everything. The government will have the right to do away with health care insurance providers for little or no reason. The government will eventually cause all private insurers to go out of business. There are so many things so terribly wrong with this health bill it is truely scary!! We do need to do something about the existing healthcare in this nation, however the proposed bill is NOT the answer. This bill will cost us more money than we can imagine and guess what?? We all get to pay for it years before anyone will get any use out of it! As for gay marriage…well that’s a huge issue in and of itself and while it is not my place or any other person’s place to pass judgment..the bible states what the bible states. When God created the heavens and the Earth and all of space he provided us with two sets of laws..one the Bible..this is what we consider the theological studies of the Christian faith, and then there was the study of the Earth…and this is where science comes in. There are so many scientific things that support Christian faith it is amazing. The website http://www.reasons.org gives wonderful examples and comes from the point of view of a man who has studied both sides..he has two PHDs and an amazing wealth of knowledge in the science department. My problem with changing the constitution is that with the new “hate crimes” blurb we as Christians will not be able to speak the truth…for fear of hurting someone’s feelings! Please! Get over it..Obama is making our country more vulnerable every day! When a counrty has no morrall…and no money…we are just sitting ducks for the next country to come in and take over! Wow imagine we can’t learn anything from history!! I am tired of our commander in cheif making excuses for what this country stands for and as far as I’m concerned if his inexperienced little self can’t produce a propper birth certificate…then he needs to be impeached!
