The Jerusalem Post has uncovered e-mail correspondence from the American Embassy in Israel that many believe was the reason Knesset members stopped a memorial honoring assassinated far-right leader Rabbi Meir Kahane.
The e-mail warning to Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin’s office said any commemoration of Kahane’s assassination was “something that Senator [George] Mitchell and his team are following with concern.”
The correspondence also implies that Barack Obama would “frown upon” any official remembrance, as the American president is working on improving ties between the US and Muslim nations.
The far-right rabbi was assassinated on November 5, 1990 by an Egyptian-American who was a member of the same al-Qaida cell that carried out the first terror attack on the World Trade Center in 1993.
He was elected to the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, in 1984 when his party, Kach, gained a single seat. Four years later, he was ousted when Kach was declared a racist party, and its members were barred from running for Knesset.
Knesset Chairman Reuven Rivlin banned MK Michael Ben Ari (National Union) from commemorating the Kahane assassination around the Hebrew anniversary of the former Kach leader’s assassination, calling any attempt a “provocation.”
The man and his outlawed [extremist] movement cannot be separated. This is an attempt to bring the Kach movement into the Knesset through the back door,” Rivlin said.
US Embassy spokesman Kurt Hoyer admitted American concerns of such a memorial at this crucial time. “We are of course concerned with trying to get everyone back to the negotiating table,” he said. “To stir up controversy at the same time that we are trying to get people back to the table it is not productive of that effort. It is only natural that Senator [George] Mitchell would be paying attention to that and the US government as well.”

Let’s not lose sight of the fact that former senator George Mitchell is a Lebanese Arab.
Let’s not lose sight of the fact that Hussein Obama was and still is a muslim.
Let’s not lose sight of the fact that Hussein Obama hates America and its allies.
Let’s not lose sight of the fact that Hussein Obama bows before monarchs (brutal and otherwise) and criticizes America on every trip he takes overseas.
Let’s remember all this in 2010 and 2012.
Let’s not lose sight of the fact that ron is a dumbass. LOL.
Let’s remember that America-hating fucktards like UF will see their opportunity at destroying this country come to an end after the Republican sweep in the 2010 elections. When THAT happens, Marxists like Pelosi, Reid (Reid will lose his senate seat next year…his poll numbers in Nevada are in the toilet) will be rendered irrevalent, and Hussein Obama will be a lame duck, after which, the American people will throw him and his regime of Communists out of office in 2012.
Enjoy the mayhem while it lasts, fucktard,,,,because the next round of elections are less than a year away.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhahahahahahahahahahaha…….
I rest my case, you are proving my point for me.
Keep posting…keep proving MY points, fucktard!
Bwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahaha…….
If you read the article, you will see something that is very similar to our own “Dear Leader.”
“The man and his outlawed [extremist] movement cannot be separated. ” Our president has a considerably extremist past, but of course, the left don’t care, he is the anointed one.
How convenient that the left in our country has selective hearing huh?
Man this is fun watching UF egg ron on.
Rabbi Kahane kicked ass! He stood up for the Jewish people and the United States has NO business telling ANYBODY in Israel who they can or cannot honor in THEIR own country. That’s ridiculous. Had Kahane been elected Prime Minister back in the day, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Egypt and Saudi Arabia would all be unpleasant but distant memories by now and there’d be peace in the middle east and probably most other places too. George Mitchell is a major asshole. Probably a Holocaust denier too.
@ RightIsWrong:
Yet Israel wants billions of dollars in welfare from Unca Sam every year, right? If Israel wants that money it better do what the US says! Jump, boy, jump! Good dog!
Welfare? LOL! You retard. Israel uses the $3 billion per year the U.S. gives them to purchase armaments and other goods from the U.S., so the money comes back to the U.S. in the end. In other words dummy, the U.S. still makes a profit and we get to help a friend in need, our only real ally in the world. Besides when you look at all of the computer technology Israel develops then shares with the U.S. we probably should be GIVING (paying) for the privilege which we owe them.
I can only feel pity for anybody who hates Jews as much as you do. It really pisses you off that Jews have the highest I.Q.s of all ethnic groups, earn more money, have better jobs, contribute more to the arts, literature, science, culture of all nations, create more inventions, win more Nobel Prizes, etc. than ANY OTHER ethnic/religious group in history on the face of the earth. Put that in your ciggy and smoke it. Or just sit and cry your eyes out over the 8×10 glossies of your hero Ernst Zundel and contemplate how inferior you feel to God’s chosen, ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!
