Fort Hood Terrorist Preached Jihad

The Washington Post has published a 2007 Power-Point presentation given by alleged Fort Hood terrorist Maj. Nidal M. Hasan to a Walter Reed medical conference where advocated “offensive jihad,” or Holy War.

As a senior-year psychiatric resident at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Maj. Nidal M. Hasan was supposed to make a presentation on a medical topic of his choosing as a culminating exercise of the residency program.

Instead, in late June 2007, he stood before his supervisors and about 25 other mental health staff members and lectured on Islam, suicide bombers and threats the military could encounter from Muslims conflicted about fighting in the Muslim countries of Iraq and Afghanistan, according to a copy of the presentation obtained by The Washington Post.

Hasan_Jihad02“It’s getting harder and harder for Muslims in the service to morally justify being in a military that seems constantly engaged against fellow Muslims,” he said in the presentation.

“It was really strange,” said one staff member who attended the presentation and spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the investigation of Hasan. “The senior doctors looked really upset” at the end. These medical presentations occurred each Wednesday afternoon, and other students had lectured on new medications and treatment of specific mental illnesses.

An Army spokesman said Monday night he was unaware of the presentation, and a Walter Reed spokesman declined to comment. It is unclear whether anyone in attendance reported the briefing to counterintelligence or law enforcement authorities whose job it is to identify threats from within the military ranks.

Hasan_Jihad01Hasan spent six years at Walter Reed as an intern, resident and fellow beginning in 2003. He was transferred to Fort Hood as a practicing psychiatrist in July and was set to leave soon for Afghanistan. According to a relative, he had asked not to be deployed. It is not known whether he ever sought conscientious-objector status.

Maj. Gen. Gina S. Farrisee, the Army’s personnel chief, said in an interview Monday that because of the investigation, she and other Army officials could not discuss whether Hasan had officially asked to quit the service or not to be deployed. However, she and another Army official said it would be highly unusual for officers with Hasan’s rank and medical training to be allowed to resign, given their service obligation.

Investigators are examining Hasan’s religious beliefs, whether he harbored extremist views, and whether he was in contact with others who may have encouraged violence against U.S. troops.

Hasan_Jihad06The title of Hasan’s PowerPoint presentation was “The Koranic World View As It Relates to Muslims in the U.S. Military.” It consisted of 50 slides. In one slide, Hasan described the presentation’s objectives as identifying “what the Koran inculcates in the minds of Muslims and the potential implications this may have for the U.S. military.”

He also sought to “describe the nature of the religious conflicts that Muslims” who serve in the U.S. military may have and to persuade the Army to identify these individuals.

Other slides delved into the history of Islam, its tenets, statistics about the number of Muslims in the military, and explanations of “offensive jihad,” or holy war.

Hasan_Jihad03Another slide suggested ways to draw out Muslim troops: “It must be hard for you to balance Islamic beliefs that might be conflicting with current war; feelings of guilt; Is it what you expected.”

Hasan’s presentation lasted about an hour. It is unclear whether he read out loud every point on each slide. If typical procedures were followed, his adviser would have supervised the development of his project, said people familiar with the practice.

The final three slides indicate that Hasan referred to Osama bin Laden, the Taliban, suicide bombers and Iran.

Under a slide titled “Comments,” he wrote: “If Muslim groups can convince Muslims that they are fighting for God against injustices of the ‘infidels’; ie: enemies of Islam, then Muslims can become a potent adversary ie: suicide bombing, etc.” [sic]

The last bullet point on that page reads simply: “We love death more then [sic] you love life!”

Under the “Conclusions” page, Hasan wrote that “Fighting to establish an Islamic State to please God, even by force, is condoned by the Islam,” and that “Muslim Soldiers should not serve in any capacity that renders them at risk to hurting/killing believers unjustly — will vary!”

The final page, labeled “Recommendation,” contained only one suggestion:

“Department of Defense should allow Muslims [sic] Soldiers the option of being released as ‘Conscientious objectors’ to increase troop morale and decrease adverse events.”

He must be one of those “moderate”, “peace-loving” muslims the Liberals keep telling me about.

Further proof of the “religion of peace”.

His “recommendation” only strengthens the argument that Muslims should NOT be allowed in the US Armed forces as their loyalties can never be reconciled with serving OUR country. Obama needs to do a MAJOR overhaul of this, and stop worrying about gays in the armed forces. Muslims have NO place in US armed forces. They can not be trusted to separate church from state, since the fundamental tenets of their faith believe they are one combined entity. People need to educate themselves about this religion. The book “The Age of Sacred Terrror, Radical Islam’s War Against America” is extremely informative and helps explain why our idea of Democracy is not “their” idea of Democracy. The radicals do not believe women should be seen in public, and they are disenfranchised totally. Anyone that does not believe in their religion is an INFIDEL and they consider Jihad to be an individual responsibility. The Quran commands Muslims to “kill thos who ascribe partners to God wheresoever ye find them; seize them, encompass them, and ambush them…” This is NOT a religion of peace or tolerance. If the Holy Bible stated anything close to that saying to seek out the muslims and slay them or ambush them, the muslims would be bringing LAWSUITS against the publishers of the Bible for defamation, threats, you name it. When is everyone going to stop the political correctness that is strangling our once great nation????????

The only facts we have at the moment is that people are dead and others terribly wounded physically and mentally. It is imperative to not make any assumptions in any way. Comments from anonymous sources are just that. Do not let this son of a b itch make you hate. If you make jokes and say all Muslims or label any group as murderers then he has won; accomplished his goal. Any person from anywhere can kill and maim for any reason or no reason. The only way humans are going to remain on the planet is by growing up and realizing the world does not revolve around them. The future is in our hands.

So, we, as taxpayers, should just pay for his schooling and residency, guarantee him a good paying job with lifetime benefits, and then not expect him to keep his end of the deal? Doesn’t Islam say anything about honesty and integrity?

And how many psychiatrists do you see, “on the field of battle,” anyway? None; they are usually somewhere relatively safe, in a tent, trying to cure nutjobs like this one.

I fully agree with Bruno who writes, “Muslims should NOT be allowed in the US Armed forces as their loyalties can never be reconciled with serving OUR country. Obama needs to do a MAJOR overhaul of this”. What about Obama himself, Bruno? Where do his loyalties lie? In his speech before a huge crowd the Libyan dictator Quadhafi called Obama “our brother, a Muslim of Kenyan origin to whose election campaign we greatly contributed”. Quadhafi also says the whole Arab world applauds this US president because he will pursue a pro-arab, anti-Israeli policy (“as there can not be two states on such a small piece of land”). So it looks like Muslims have NO place in the White House either for the same reason. Not surprising it’s taking Obama so long to make decisions about Afghanistan and foreign policy as he is trying to serve two masters. By the way, in Islam the child’s religion is automatically determined by his/her father. In his book “Dreams fo My Father” Obama (who studied Quran in a religious school in Indonesia) writes “There is no sound more beautiful than the call of the Imam for prayer early in the morning”. Muslims know that Obama never converted to Christianity (they would never call a person of another faith “brother”). If he ever tried to convert, he would immediately receive death threats from radical Muslims (and we haven’t heard of any so far). Quran teaches that relinquishing Islam is a sin punishable by death (remember that girl in NJ who sought state protection as her family wanted to kill her for converting to Christianity). Just one more detail. Has any US President before Obama spent $500K to REMOVE the American flag from his plane and replace it with his own “rising sun”-type logo? How can “we the people” be so blind?!! The goal of Islam is to turn the whole world into ONE huge Islamic state and killing the infidels, if necessary, in the process. You may want to check out what’s happening in Europe (Britain and especially Sweden, which has been practically overtaken by uncontrolled Muslim immigration). So how do Islam teachings and ultimate goals reconcile with the US Constitution, American values, hopes and beliefs?

    @ j

This s.o.b. doesn’t make me hate. He engenders another emotion, fear, like being alone on a dark street and hearing footsteps behind you, looking behind and seeing a couple of young black guys. Is it racist to duck into a store? Guess you’d say so, but common sense to most other folks. This just wasn’t a random individual. He was acting out the requirements of his faith to attack the unbelievers and ’smite them on their necks’, (the explanation for their predilection to behead folks) Wake up! The only reason your Muslim proctologist hasn’t cut your throat is because he doesn’t presently paractice the literal requirements of his faith.
