Republican Scozzafava Endorses Democrat

Dede Scozzafava

Dede Scozzafava

Former Republican candidate Deidre Scozzafava has endorsed her Democrat opponent after exiting the New York State 23rd congressional District race Saturday.

“I am supporting Bill Owens for Congress and urge you to do the same,” Scozzafava said in a written statement. “In Bill Owens, I see a sense of duty and integrity that will guide him beyond political partisanship. He will be an independent voice devoted to doing what is right for New York. Bill understands this district and its people, and when he represents us in Congress he will put our interests first.”

Scozzafava experienced a plummet in polls after former GOP Vice Presidential nominee and Alaskan governor Sarah Palin endorsed Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman. The endorsement highlighted Scozzafava’s social liberal platform.

“It’s rather telling when the Republican Party forces out a moderate Republican and it says, I think, a great deal about where the Republican Party is right now,” White House Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett said on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday.

Conservatives need to abandon the GOP and form their own party.

Now that Dede Scozzafava has dropped out, Hamid Karzai is a shoo-in.

That’s because she’s a brainless, America-hating, Democrap scumbag at heart! Why else would she endorse the brainless, Pelosi-loving Democrap?! All the more reason to support the Conservative Doug Hoffman. Doug Hoffman is TRULY independent. He’s beholden to no corrupt NYS political party.

There’s a reason why the Republican Party in NYS is virtually non-existent! The Republicans in that state might as well switch parties and come clean. There’s not a dime’s worth of difference between the two parties in that corrupt, degenerate state.

Let’s face it…NYS is HOPELESS, mostly because NYC is the anchor upon which the rest of the state will sink, and the Republicans in that state doesn’t have a fucking clue, thanks in large part to Al D’Amato, George Pataki, and Joe Bruno who’ve controlled that state’s party and helped line the pockets of those who greased their skids over the last 30 years. NYC dictates what the rest of the state’s political parties does. The voters are brain-dead, and all those who live within the state’s borders are nothing more than hostages held at gunpoint by the Bolshevik Democraps who control every aspect of their lives.

If I lived in NYS today, I would do what the other 1 million productive citizens have done over the last four years…flee to the other civilized states in the country whose politicians can govern responsibly.

The Republican party is too quick to alienate anybody who doesn’t subscribe to pure party doctrine. I imagine it will be two election cycles, not one where they will finally remember this is not a winning strategy and will return to trying to court those with different political beliefs.

Still, its fun to watch the Republican party self destruct at this time. Keep it up guys!

  6. GerardM says

Dear Ron, you can rant and rave but it is still a democratic country that you live in. Be thankful.
PS I do not know what state you live in, but is seems to me to be as state of denial.

  7. Chris says

And Ron through his vitriol proves Scozzafava’s point. Ron like many goopers is an extremist hater

  8. Evil Genius Todd says

    Oh Ron……
Thank for demonstrating exactly the kind of reactionary self hate the republican party is so rich in today. Don’t every change man.

  9. John says

Now now, Ron. Calm down. Here, take your Hot Wheels down to the basement and play until suppers ready.

The really sad thing is that Scozzafava was the candidate that everyone in that district would have been OK with. Both the Democrats and the Far Right is in the minority but there isn’t enough room left in the middle for a moderate Republican to win the election. Instead now, this community will be left with a candidate that a large minority will absolutely hate.

This a prime example of the failure of a two party system. Instead of getting an elected official that is representative of it’s district this system will all too often elect an extremist from the fringe.

I love it. This is great. You conservatives just don’t get it. You’re busy eating your own and not realizing that you’re marginalizing yourselves in the process. It’s hilarious. This is a progressive nation. If it were conservative, we’d still have slavery. Think about how liberal and democrat you are compared to your parents. You may call yourselves conservative but a liberal heart beats in us all. Recognize the history of this nation and open your eyes to the present. Conservatism is a mental disease. Liberation of your mind is the cure.

  13. BobM says

Lovely. In addition to her liberal views I suppose her feelings were hurt due to Palin’s endorsement of Hoffman.

  14. Felix says

Watch Scozzafava six months from now. She is going to switch parties after the election and get a fat paycheck Democratic appointment job for hauling their water. The Dems are wetting their pants that she will be joining them.

  15. tbolgeo says

Ms. Scozzafava has proven that she was a Republican in name but a Democrat at heart. It is amazing how the left go out of their way to demonize the conservatives of this nation. Mr. Hoffman appears to be a conservative and not a Republican. It is my understanding that the Conservatives in the state of New York have their own party and that for this election, they didn’t think that Ms. Scozzafava could represent their values. A number of conservative Republicans are now starting to speak out against the people controlling the Republican party now and are telling them that they want their party back.

  16. ConservativesCan't think says

    LOL!

Ignorant Conservative’s aka the American Taliban, I laugh at you and your ignorant dribble about taking the country back. Every day you your connection with reality grows more and more remote wile your hatred ferments inside those empty Jesus loving heads of yours.

Conservatism is a Mental Disease of the weak and ignorant. But don’t worry The Liberals have power now and there is NOTHING you can do about it! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahh!

  17. John says

    Ron

You are what is so wrong with a lot of people in this country. Once we of different political values worked together to attain the common goals of the counrty and our people.

Now, sadly we have the people that care and have some intellect and are willing to work with others and their ideals to get the job done. Then we have people like you that just hate for hates sake.

Go crawl back under your rock and never see the light of day. I for one and I am sure the majority are sick and tired of all this crap.

  18. Anthony V says

Why don’t you out of state liberal fuckers come live here, and see what the hell your wonderful policies have wrought. Sorry, Ron, the others are right – the two parties in New York are corrupt. Dede S was far closer to a Democrat than anyone could have imagined. A big tent is one thing, but this broad was camping on the other side of the lake.

As for ConservativesCantThink, why don’t you read a goddamned book, or start paying attention to the world around you? You might learn something. You might learn that sometimes it’s worthwhile to be angry when it’s called for!

I would hate 2 be from upstate NY. U can’t even decide for yourself who U get to elect.
Instead U get carpetbaggers from Minn. or quitters from Alaska telling U who to vote 4.
    It’s a shame U can’t even decide 4 yourself.

  21. Chris says

What has the world come to? =)

  22. ron says

And the same people who condemn me are the same America-hating Marxists who voted for “Barack the Kenyan”. So far, your candidate is bringing down the rest of his corrupt party and they will be replaced by patriots in the Republican Party after today’s elections, the 2010 elections, and the 2012 elections. Great job, numbnuts!

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhahahahahahahahahaha…………………

  23. Adirondack Jack says

I’m from upstate. Academics and political commentators of all stripes have come to a consensus that New York’s government is disfunctional. We have the Assembly Speaker getting member items for a Yashiva in Paris. That means taxpayer money going to France for secular purposes, (here-nudge, nudge, wink, wink). There isn’t a crying human need that our legislature hasn’t responded to, not by fiunding it with state revenues, but by passing the legal obligation to fund it to the counties as unfunded mandates. We have text books for parochial school and transportation for their students all publicly funded. Any kid with a learning disability has his own tutor, publicly funded. Free drugs and medical care for children and the elderly, courtesy in part of exceptions to the Federal medicaid program, one quarter funded by the local real property tax payers. Young people in particular are fleeing the state after they finish their education, leaving New York becoming a hyphenated state in which people of European ancestry are about to become the minority. Their culture and values are threatened with something else that looks like the situational morality of race hustlers and advocates who have no responsibility for the colloateral damages of their policies. Our Republican Assemblywoman has a homosexual son and is in support of homosexual marriage. I call that a major marker of liberal policy, not as the left would spin it, a moderate policy. Dede was just one more bit of rot that had to be excised from the body politic among us up here trying to keep New York the Empire State.

  24. Eric M says

Just proved she was as republican as Snow or those other RINOS. The GOP and even worst the Democrats have failed the people of our country. They invent powers that the Federal Government lord over us and spend money we don’t have until the federal reserve is printing toilet paper! GOP either needs replaced or reformed, but the current leadership are a failure to the conservative principles of smaller limited government, which is supported by our Founding Fathers. The liberals have proven themselves above the oaths to us and the Constitution and outspend even the worst of the GOP. BO, Peloski, and Reid are certificable and we let them run our country as a Banana Republic! They don’t care about fixing our economy, since they want their crazy ideals to take over and who cares if we hit 20%+ unemployement if they can get their way!

The Great Frank says that Liberalism is a mental illness.

    Case study, Ron.

diagnosis: paranoid and puerile, ideas of central reference, conspiratorial belief system, histrionic personality disorder

  28. Amy says

Ron keep up the true republican behavior. When things doesn’t go the hardcore republican way they tend to throw temper tantrums, name calling, ranting and raving like a incoherent loony tune. When the extreme right wing of the republican party get hold of white house, house of senate and representatives their attitude goes into asshole winner mode. Telling people if you don’t like how things are being run, they are free to pack up and leave this country. Should they screw up so bad they are ready to blame the Liberal and Democrats because they aren’t emotionally mature enough to place the blame where it lies at and on themselves.
