The lousy, low-life, lecherous liberals in the media protect their own.
No one in the media caught on that when President Obama went on all the morning talk shows (except for FOX) on Sunday, September 20th, and the following Monday he went on The Late Show with David Letterman, he made the CBS show part of the political establishment; a venue for the President.
Where does it say in its FCC license to broadcast, that this late night show is part of the political spectrum? It is subject to rules and regulations. Only Andrea Peyser received attention when she called for CBS to take David Letterman off the air.
Immediately after it was revealed that Letterman was having affairs with female subordinates on Friday, October 2, I was calling for his removal. It was only after cable news talking heads asked, “where is NOW – the National Organization of Women,” did the women’s rights group come forth to meekly remark about the David Letterman situation. Kind of gives you the feeling that Ugly Women Need Not Apply for a Job with the David Letterman show. If you know your ABC’s you can do filing – but if you have pulchritude then you qualify for Executive Privileges and assign to the ugly girl the filing. This is why the Womens Movement is no movement at all – where have they moved to?
Isn’t this also the very same network that got into trouble with a wardrobe malfunction? That was a Stupid Bowl game with a large audience. I guess rules and regulations are flexible as well as numerous. And they always have money for the fines.
But now, President Obama can’t go back on the David Letterman Show. He cannot be associated with this “creepy” character, to borrow one of David’s words. It just isn’t proper.
I think I stopped watching David Letterman when he first came on the air at night. I definitely stopped watching him when he was escorted by two lovely long-legged ladies, one on each side of him, bringing him onto the stage. I know I stopped watching him when he announced that his girlfriend was pregnant. I did not see his show when he said he was NOT going to marry the girlfriend. I guess rules do not apply to him. So why be amazed that the rules and regulations of the FCC also do not apply to him. He is the central cast of characters in his world.
His world gets surveyed by Forbes. Oprah is the number one Celebrity and I think number 15 is David Letterman. They make so much money, that the money is unbelievable. Even if they wanted to SPEND the money, they couldn’t. How much jewelry can you wear? Ten rings on ten fingers? How many layers of clothes? How many meals can you eat in one day? How much property can you buy? No, they have their own world.
But what is the President going to do now? He can’t go on David Letterman. Jay Leno does not do late night any more – different show. And they were Buddies: the President and Letterman. The President gave him an exclusive. That’s big prestige. Now the TV market is constricted.
Can’t CBS find a real person to do the late night show? Someone like Jack Paar; a regular guy who entertains the audience, does a monologue, has a family, has a sense of humor, and the audience likes. Jack Paar, Steve Allen, Johnny Carson. They were happy with late night. The audience loved them. From what I read Jay Leno had higher ratings than David Letterman. Jay Leno had the larger audience, consistently, for years. I can’t figure out what was so big time about Letterman.
Years ago Andy Griffith made a movie – GREAT MOVIE but it bombed at the box office – A Face In The Crowd. Elia Kazan, written by Budd Schulberg. I think it was the only flop Elia Kazan had. Andy Griffith played a successful TV host that everybody thought was the GREATEST. In the movie, he came from obscurity but Patricia Neal shaped him into a star. He was so big, he was bigger than big. But behind the TV facade was an ambitious, greedy, egotistical mean no-good rat. At the end of the movie Patricia Neal holds onto the TV Audio cables so that everyone tuned in to the TV can hear the rat calling them idiots. She destroys him. It was an excellent movie; but now forgotten.
The TV stations should take better care. They should consider the viewer a little bit more. Have some respect for the viewing audience. Because we might decide NOT to tune in.
David Letterman is a Buddy.
The Professor from Harvard who broke into his own house is a Buddy.
Bill Ayres lives in the neighborhood.

How very true.
What is happening to this world? Where have the standards gone, the morals? It's indeed different rules for the average man and the very affluent. Because their money can buy whatever they want. Even if it is the rulebook. And the very affluent have also become the effluent, especially when measuring their principles. It seems the only thing their money can't buy them, is decency. Or worse, they're not interested in buying that, even if they could.
When will the average man cotton on to the fact that they are the ones paying for the lavish lifestyles of these decaying characters? Every time they tune in. Or buy the next paper. Or do they close their eyes and dream of being in the same world?
I think those with principles have already questioned the status quo. They may already have decided not to tune in. Hence the financial state of some of these media outlets.
And how apt a summation by Cheryl. The Buddies. The acquaintances. We know the moral standards of the Buddies. But what does it say about the president when he keeps such company?
So, switch off the TV. Don't bother with the paper. Listen to what Cheryl has to say. And you might awaken from your slumber before the buddies have your soul too.
Isa 5:20-21+23
(20) Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (21) Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! (23) Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
So now you’re trying to tie a very milquetoast sex scandal to the President? You conservatives are pathetic.
Whine, whine, whine, at least you losers will be entertaining for the next eight years.
@ The NIM Truth: Why don’t you go play with your Liberal, Leftist, Loser Lackey buddies.
They are of the same mud hut mentality and corrupt mindset as you.
Seems to me there are a lot of jealous people out there. Celebrities like David Letterman put their lives on the line every time they go public. If they have what it takes to make it bigtime, then so be it. That’s what they choose. Not everyone has talent or what it takes to handle celebrityhood. And more power to them. If they get in trouble, then it’s their life they have deal with. The public can just look on, and shake their heads if they don’t like it. Let it be.
@ bev: So having moral standards suddenly makes you jealous? You call the way these people act talent?
You represent everything wrong with this world. Please don’t come and befoul this site with your filth.
People lead very empty lives when they have to turn to dull, unfunny TV types like Letterman and SNL to get any fulfillment. It’s the same stupid mindset that propels people to obsess over sports; watching every game, and obsessing over every statistic.
“Obama LettermanThe lousy, low-life, lecherous liberals in the media protect their own.”
Why is the Republican party so full of hate? Why are they so anti-America?
Why is this foreign occupier everywhere like horseshit? He even did a commerical for George Lopez. That is the only thing he can do with out fucking up, go on a tv show and this time it reflects his own morals! He's a bisexual.
