Obama address the UN General Assembly
Barack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize Friday in a stunning decision designed to encourage his initiatives to reduce nuclear arms, ease tensions with the Muslim world and stress diplomacy and cooperation over unilateralism.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee countered criticism that Obama oversees wars in Iraq and Afghanistan by saying it is trying “to promote what he stands for and the positive processes that have started now.”Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele said Obama won the award based on his “star power” rather than his achievement. “What has President Obama actually accomplished?” Steele asked.
“He got the prize because he has been able to change the international climate,” Nobel Committee chairman Thorbjoern Jagland responded. “Some people say, and I understand it, isn’t it premature? Too early? Well, I’d say then that it could be too late to respond three years from now. It is now that we have the opportunity to respond – all of us.”
French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who has made no secret of his admiration for Obama, called the decision the embodiment of the “return of America into the hearts of the people of the world.”

The Nobel Peace Prize is now meaningless to all future winners. As it is, the prize is pretty much worthless after such people as the following were awarded it:

6. Koffi Anan,
7. Nelson Mandela,
8. Desmond Tutu,
9. Mikhail Gorbachev.
This was nothing but a political move to bolster the Marxist takeover of America.

I agree with you that Obama will win a second term. There's nobody out there who can beat him. Palin and Jindal are jokes. Although this could change if the Tea Parties bring out someone who can run for office. But I doubt it. It's just a bunch of farts whining "I want my country back".
