Next Pope Black?

black-popeForget communion wafers and wine. It could be chitlins and Colt 45 at your local Catholic mass in the future, as a prominent African cardinal says the election of Barack Obama to President of the United States means the next Pope could be Black.

Cardinal Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson of Ghana made the proclamation Monday during a press conference that was part of three-week Vatican meeting on the challenges the Catholic Church faces in Africa.

It is in the Dark Continent that the Catholic Church is experiencing its biggest growth: Catholics have grown from 55 million in 1978 to 146 million in 2007 there.

The Catholic Church broke a 455-year history of Italian Popes in 1978 by electing Pope John Paul II in 1978. He was followed by German-born Pope Benedict XVI in 2005. But a non-European Pope may be a stretch, according to some.

    They were considering this Ghanian cardinal during the last time they were considering a pope. The concensus was that it did not matter. If they selected a pope who was a "brother", he would still sing the same tune as the others.

    Anything is possible of course, but according to Biblical Prophesy everything happens by providence. So I think that the Polish Pope came on the scene to help break down the Communist pillars of the Soviet Union through his native country Poland and the German Pope came on the scene because the Tyrannical Fascist Leader (beast) of the EU (Revival of the old Holy Roman Empire) will come out of Germany. Heralding the start of the Tribulation time spoken of in Rev. 17:9-13 and Matt 24:2.
