IAEA Director Mohamed ElBaradei meets Iran President Ahmadinejad Sunday
IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei called Israel the “number one threat to the Middle East” because of its nuclear capabilities, during a meeting with Iran President Ahmadinejad Sunday.
“Israel is the number one threat to the Middle East given the nuclear arms it possesses,” ElBaradei was quoted by Iran’s official news agency IRNA as saying.
While the quote was picked up by several international news agencies and even bloggers, it was left out of mainstream news reports, including The New York Times.
ElBaradei went on to say that Israel has not been cooperative with the IAEA for three decades, whereas Iran has agreed to allow inspectors to visit a new uranium enrichment plant and other facilities on October 25.
The IAEA Director did say he had “concerns about Iran’s future intentions,” and while at a “critical moment” in relations with the Islamic Republic, he does “see that we are shifting from confrontation into transparency and cooperation.”
Agency inspectors are concerned that a month is sufficient time for Iran to remove some of the equipment. “The longer you wait, the less you learn,” a senior European official familiar with inspections said last week.

I hope Israel takes military action but it sucks because they can’t rely on our President to help them. I was discusted at Obama refurring to Israel as the Occupationers of Palestine instead of them as ISRAEL. I usually only hear that kind of rhetoric from the countries that want Israel destroyed.

Let’s look at the facts: Israel is the only country in the Mideast that has nuclear weapons; Israel has never cooperated with the IAEA or signed the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty; and Israel is the only country to occupy another country or peoples (Palestinian territories , Golan Heights , and previoiusly parts of Lebanon and Egypt), with the brief exception of Iraq into Kuwait. Iran with all its faults has done none of the above.
Fact is, there’s an uneven balance of power in the Mid East. A nuclear Iran would make the bullshit stop over there.
Isreal won the 6 day war when all of the Middle East attacked them.
Then they gave it all back except for some strtegic areas for their safety.
That is saying a lot when they could have taken all the middle East and made it their own.
Pesident Obama is trying to play the great mediator, but A war is inevitable and everyone knows it.
Muslims still hate Christians from the crusades and dying for that is what is taught to them at birth.
Muslims still want world conquest and domination. and Isreal represents their defeat and humiliation and have focused on that…
Isreal will ultimately take care of business , but if for some crazy reason they all worked together, the middle East could be the ultimate power and move the World closer to real Peace on Earth.

Israel has never threatened to “wipe” a nation off the face of the earth as Dr. Evil has. It was attacked and so, against overwhelming force it needs protection to equal the vast armies of Mohamadanism. As for an “occupation”, why didn’t the F.O. discuss KURDISTAN, which is a nation but is occupied by Syria, Parthia, Turkey? What about their “self determination”? Israel hasn’t used poison gas on the Palestinians as the Sadam did on the Kurds? What? No outrage? Of course not! Even the Arabs are afraid of a nuclear Parthia. They were occupied for HUNDREDS of years by the Parthian bastards. What? You don’t know that? So that’s why you sound so ignorant and stupid! What about the Coptic Christians in Egypt? What? Isreal has the right to defend itself and their territory. Isreal should just take palestine once and for all and get it over with. Then there won’t be anymore problems.
