A key player in the Australian mining industry has blasted his country’s protectionist stance towards investment in China as “racist” and missing a tremendous opportunity for long-term financial growth.
“I think it’s one of the worst things that can happen to Australia to extend our racist policies into Asia,” mining magnate Clive Palmer said during a presentation at the Queensland Media Club Monday.
Palmer compared Australian investment policy, which requires the Treasurer and the Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) to approve Chinese investment, to that of America, where an individual can invest up to AU $950 million without the strict approval of the Chinese government.
“Suddenly there’s a great cry in Australia about reds under the bed,” he said.
Palmer notes that China has AU $1.8 trillion in cash reserves, while American banks have none. He also said Australia should take advantage of its geological proximity to the communist nation and seize upon China’s industrial expansion, which sees 300 million of its citizens moving from rural areas to the cities over the next 20 years.
“Capital is now in China, it’s not in the US,” Palmer said.

Of course they are! That’s what jackasses like you resort to when you have no foundation for your treasonous position to your country and race.
Comrade Palmer the communists are not under the bed, but in the bed. And its obvious your one of them. The statement “Capital is now in China, it’s not in the US,” is sufficient to explain your capitulation to your red associates.
