He sees racists everywhere. They don't even know they exist.
Hippie alt-rocker Dave Matthews has openly whined that he sees American racism “everywhere” during a recent interview.
“I found there’s a fairly blatant racism in America that’s already there, and I don’t think I noticed it when I lived here as a kid,” Matthews said during a recent CNN interview when asked if former US president Jimmy Carter was right about criticism of Barack Obama is based on racism.
“But when I went back to South Africa, and then it’s sort of thrust in your face, and then came back here — I just see it everywhere. There’s a good population of people in this country that are terrified of the president only because he’s black, even if they don’t say it. And I think a lot of them, behind closed doors, do say it.”
“Maybe I’m paranoid about it, but I don’t think someone who disagreed as strongly as they do with Obama — if it was Clinton — would have stood up and screamed at him during his speech,” Matthews said. Shaking his head, he added, “I don’t think so.”
The pop star, who is enjoying his 5th straight #1 album in America, split his childhood between the United States and South Africa during apartheid.

Everywhere you find racism! When I worked with a group of about half whites and half Mexicans, the Mexicans would not have anything to do with the whites, even though we invited them to. We treated them well but they totally kept to themselves. Often they were just plain RUDE! One school teacher in Southern California noticed all her students wore OBAMA tee shirts last fall. They were nearly all Mexicans with some black kids. She asked why they all were so PRO-OBAMA. They answered “Because he is NOT WHITE!” Yes, you find racism everywhere.

1. Hussein Obama was elected president by WHITE people. In fact, Hussein Obama garnered more white votes than Al Gorebbels and John Kerry. Hussein Obama won the election with 53% of the vote – whites make up the vast majority.
2. During the months of January, February, March, and April, Hussein Obama enjoyed a 70% APPROVAL rating. Again, that was with the majority of WHITE people. It wasn’t until his Marxist policies came to light that Hussein Obama has tanked in the polls.
AND. he has only himself to blame – NOT RACISM!

I am 68 years old. A proud African American. Lived in New York for 60 years. Now live in the deep South. Florida to be exact. Through my 60 years in New York, I was rudely treated by Caucasians. Here in the South, racism is everywhere as it is back up in New York. Back in my youth and living in New York, I had quite a few Caucasian girlfriends as well as Causcasian male friends. In fact, back in 1964, I performed on the Clay Cole Rock & Roll Show. We were a mixed group of two African Americans and two Italians, one guy and a pretty 16 year old female who could sing every last one of Diana Ross’s songs.
So this ron character, need to thank his mom and dad for doing an excellent job at warping his mind. My god ron, your life could be, I don’t know your age, or could have been much more richer sharing it with people of different colors. My dad once told me: it’s not bad to be a young fool, but it’s bad, really bad, to be an old fool.
So if you are old, ron, it’s too late, you will take your ignorance to into eternity.
My great hope is that, one day our young ones here in America will wake up and put a stop to older white folks spewing their racism upon them, making their lives miserable by hating people of a different color. Yes, Dave Mathews is correct. Racism is everywhere. As a child, I was told that during World War One or Two, anyway, when the white American soldiers were over in France, they told the French women that blacks had a tail which I found later to be true. That was absolutely sick. What fools they must have looked to be to the French women.

Racism is an institutional system set up by the majority who happens to be white in this country. No one white individual is responsible for this system but all people play a part in accepting the domination and hierarchy set up by this system. There is no such thing as reverse racism. There can be prejudice and bigotry from all sides yes. And you may find individual examples of that within your own lives but the institution of racism is strong in this country despite the fact that our president is a mixed race African-American. It may be that a majority of white people voted for him because they were tired of the mess that the previous administration has made of our country and President Obama represented change. It may also be that whites felt safe voting for someone who was half-white and raised by a white mother. Regardless of this, racism has not gone away, and it won't go away until we change our thinking and accept the fact that this the institution of racism is alive and well in our prisons, in our educational system, hiring practices and even on television with the lack of lead roles by actors of color. In the recent Emmy awards, only one person of color one, and she was Iranian.
No one person on this discussion list may have personally or intentionally been racist but to brush off the racism that pervades our society everyday is to live in a fantasy.

I don’t see how anyone can disagree with Dave Matthews here. He never said that Whites are the reason Obama won’t get into office, all he said is that there is a certain percentage of people who will not vote for Obama because of his race. That is not his opinion… that is fact. Anyone who doesn’t believe Racism exists in the U.S. is naive and was probably a spoiled upper middle class suburban kid who grew up with cartoons, video games, and pokemon, and was sheltered from the violence and harsh realities of the real world.
