Irving Kristol in 1985

The leading architect of Neo-conservatism, Irving Kristol, has passed away due to complications from lung cancer at the age of 89.

Kristol founded neo-conservatism for ex-liberals like himself who had been “mugged by reality.” Karl Rove once called Kristol an “intellectual entrepreneur who helped energize several generations of public policy thinkers.”

Kristol’s son William continues his father’s legacy with his magazine The Weekly Standard.

Irv was a commie POS and so is his kid. The neoconservative movement is why we have Obama. Dump the internationalists and put America first!

Irving Kristol was a giant among men with a herculean intellect.

I don’t have much use for his on, Bill, who is an overrated blowhard, but Irving was a good man whose commentary (who, btw, was always published in “Commentary Magazine”) will be sorely missed.
