Popular FOX News host Glenn Beck “crossed the line” in its “commitment to diversity,” says a spokeswoman for legal drugs retailer CVS/Pharmacy, The Right Perspective has learned.
The e-mail response was made by CVS/Pharmacy Customer Relations spokeswoman “Amanda” after an inquiry was made into the company’s participation in flailing advertising boycott against Beck’s popular FOX News television show.
Boycott organizer Color for Change began the protest after Beck began outing the radical Communist and other Leftist ties of former Obama “Green Czar” Van Jones, who founded the Left-wing activist group. The boycott has painfully backfired, with Beck getting higher ratings and Van Jones resigning from the administration late Saturday night.

“Our position is simple and was not driven by taking sides in any political debate,” writes Amanda. “We support free speech of all kinds, and vigorous debate, especially around policy issues that affect millions of Americans. But we expect the speech and the debate to be informed, inclusive and respectful, in keeping with our company’s core values and commitment to diversity. In our view, Mr. Beck crossed the line.”
“While advertising on the Fox network is part of our communication plan, we had not requested time on Glenn Beck’s show specifically. We have instructed our advertising agency to inform Fox to ensure Glenn Beck’s program is not part of our advertising plan.” This statement falls in line with several other sponsors participating in the boycott, who have simply shifted their advertising dollars to other shows on the FOX networks.
“We’re sorry you are unhappy about our decision,” finished Amanda, adding a final slap by writing, “Nonetheless, we must continue to be true to our core values – accountability, respect, integrity, openness and teamwork.”

Now that Van Jones is gone, we can hopefully crush this stupid boycott, too. Just look at CVS’s reasons for participating in the boycott – “diversity,” “respect,” and “teamwork” – so that means they should “respect” a “diversity” of opinions and “respect” the “teamwork” that got that Marxist booted out on his hindquarters! I wouldn’t be surprised if CVS/Pharmacy is all for Obamacare seeing how they’re a huge legal drugs chain and would probably make a killing (no pun intended) on a publick option.
Well…isn’t that just TOO interesting. There are a couple CVS drug stores here –think I’ll ask them,. Shucks! I wish I were still getting my RX’s filled there.

I’m getting so utterly WEARY with “it’s okay for you to say that.. HOWEVER , you must agree with me” aka liberal goats who are in no wise choosy for wanting or standing up for that that is the right and good thing…

Um, Van Jones now has a LOT more time on his hands to go after Beck. Funny thing, too…Beck only went after Jones AFTER Jones (et al) started their boycott. So Beckbots believe Glenn is ‘looking out for them,’ when he’s really more interested in saving his wallet from taking a hit.

And what advertisers more specifically what “SPONSORS” have been driven away?
CVS was NEVER a sponsor of Beck’s show.
CVS did not advertise on Beck’s show.
They have and will continue to advertise on FOX. FOX loses NOTHING, Beck loses NOTHING.
CVS has ”requested” their ads not run during Beck’s show, however I doubt CVS could even AFFORD to advertise on Beck’s show.
Their to small to be players in the big leagues.
Now if they pulled their ads from Olbermann that would be HUGE!

You do realize your accusing the White house of being behind the boycott intended to silence free speech?

Oddly enough the “Legal Counsel’s office” is investigating that as well.

Change ramped up its protest of Beck after he began attacking the Obama Administration’s “Czar” programs, including Jones. The White House legal office was also looking into the timing”
BTW the ”OTHER SHOE”.
On that “truther petition” Jones signed in 2004 without reading it, therefore he is not a truther, also helped organize a 2002 truther protest march in San Francisco.

CVS has had my loyaty, but will no longer. They boycott free speech, which means they boycott the first amendment. Sad that a piece of paper that gave them the right to run their company,they now boycott.I will now drive a couple more miles to use walgreens.

Some companies like CVS has integrity and don’t want to be associated with divisive nutjobs like Beck. I applaud their decency and will shop their as often as I can. Profit from bile is not good.
Well, I personally never went to cvs and after this I never will. Who ever does boycott his show I will begin to boycott after hearing about it from the right perspective or on his show.

Meanwhile, here on planet earth, no one really cares about Van Jones. He was a minor figure in the administration whom Glenn Beck found a convenient target, I guess because he sort of looked and talked like a scary black radical. maybe he even said something about a communist once, though I think a real “avowed” communist would leave a bigger trail than a single quote in “East Bay News”. He’s gone, and I’m fine with that. I’m sure he’ll be great in the private sector.
Now, let’s talk about Glenn Beck. I’m sure tired of explaining why raving about a “hidden agenda ” to enact “back door reparations” and “settle old racial scores” without any decent eviodence is racist as hell. So I won’t, but it’s clear that CVS gets it. So does Walmart. If we know anything about Walmart, it tells us that they’re not going to be intimidated by a few thousand signatures. All the boycott did was get the executives at Walmart to take a look at Beck’s show, and Beck did the rest. That was the real success of the boycott, it got people to watch his show.
They say that this isn’t costing Fox money,. but I can’t imagine how. Ad time on the Beck show must be going for peanuts, but this isn’t about money. It’s about marginalizing Beck. I don’t know why Jones resigned but it sure wasn’t because the mainstream media had picked up the manufactured scandal. No one was touching it, because it was covered with beckstink. Even Bill O’reilly doesn’t want to be associated with Beck. More and more, it’s going to Beck and his becktards in their own little room, just breathing each other’s air, and the rest of us just looking on and shaking our heads. But there’s a good chance that you’re going to drag down the republicvan party even further. Good luck with that.
I’m sorry to have to disagree with you, but I think CVS and the other advertiser’s did the right thing! There is a way to approach your beliefs without spreading hate and fear. There’s a fine line between debate and tyranny and right now, both sides seem to be teetering over that line. Just my humble opinion – and you know what they say about opinions! (grin)

I love how progressives love to jump on their high horse, after swinging a club of nastiness. I know after reading post after post, none of you quasi-democrats, even watch Glenn Beck. You can’t, if you even watched only a week’s worth of episodes, you may start to understand the effort he and his staff put into his research. All, that you find on the show, can be verified online. Tread lightly, lefties, I guarantee this is a one term president; ask yourself, would you be comfortable with all this executive power when the backlash hits, and you looking at a REPUBLICAN Congress and White House? Partisan BS! Even Democrats are running scared. Beck has turned the lights on, and the far left is scurrying for cover.
