Afrikaaner civil rights group Afriforum has announced its intention to help White refugee Brandon Huntley in his legal battle to stay in Canada.
AfriForum lawyer Willie Spies said the body had decided to become involved after the ANC’s Thandi Modise claimed her experience of racial attacks in SA was White-on-black, not the other way around as Huntley had argued.
“It would be very unfortunate if a court in Canada was at the mercy of information supplied by the SA Government to the Canadian Government,” said Spies.
The civil rights organization is consulting lawyers about the possibility of joining the proceedings as amicus curiae, or “friend of the court.”

One only has to read the daily newspapers to see clearly that the level of violence associated with what the ANC tries to make off as petty crime is racially motivated. Ms Modise's claim that there is more white on black violence than the other way around is outrageous – someone should ask her for the statistics. Daily we read of white's being killed or assaulted and because a mobile phone or a few cents is stolen it is written off as petty crime by the ANC. Canada was right to give assylum to mr Huntley. Please tell this to the world.
