“Hate Sod” Prompts Whining

A mixed-race group of teens in Manassas, Virginia caught using sod in a naughty prank are being charged with a “hate crime” by whiny liberals because they used “racist” words in their hijinks.

The teens – three Whites and one Black, ranging in age from 14 to 17 – took rolls of pre-grown grass used for landscaping to spell out “KKK,” “White Power,” and portray a giant swastika on the parking lot of Sinclair Elementary School. Because the teens were all friends and of different races, their intent was not to “spread hate” but were rather using the most offensive words they knew in their very naughty prank.

The sod was simply arranged on the ground to spell out the words, so no permanent damage was done to any property. The sod itself was not damaged either, and can still be used in the landscaping project it was taken from. Clean-up of the “hate” sod was finished in a matter of minutes, as can be seen from this helicopter footage:

None of this stopped “mainstream” media from portraying the incident as a “hate crime,” with the phrase “hate graffitti” scrawled across the top of local news reports. One Maryland resident whined in all caps, “THEY SHOULD BE CHARGED WITH A HATE CRIME! THIS INCIDENT SHOULD NOT BE JUDGED AS “JUST A PRANK” BECAUSE THEY ARE AFRICAN-AMERICANS! JUSTICE FOR ALL! ALSO, THEY SHOULD BE GIVEN 100 LASHES! THEY WANT TO ACT LIKE LITTLE HITLER’S THEN WE SHOULD SHOW THEM WHAT IT FEELS LIKE!”.

Others echoed the sentiment in their comments.

Police are not charging the teens with a “hate crime” but are charging them with vandalism. School officials said in a statement that their school is a “safe, welcoming and inviting place” and they will prosecute the teens to the fullest extent of the law.
