Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy has died after an extended battle with brain cancer. He was 77.
The “liberal lion of the Senate,” who was diagnosed with brain cancer in May of 2008 and underwent a successful brain surgery soon afterwards. But Kennedy suffered a setback after stricken down with a seizure on January 20th while at a luncheon honoring newly-sworn-in US President Barack Obama. He was rushed immediately to Washington Hospital Center in DC.
A long-standing target for conservative ire, the Massachusetts Democrat will likely be remembered most for destroying the cultural and genetic fabric of America by working to pass The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965. During Senate debate on the Bill, Kennedy proclaimed, “First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same…. Secondly, the ethnic 
mix of this country will not be upset…. Contrary to the charges in some quarters, [the bill] will not inundate America with immigrants from any one country or area, or the most populated and deprived nations of Africa and Asia…. In the final analysis, the ethnic pattern of immigration under the proposed measure is not expected to change as sharply as the critics seem to think…. The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs.” The act’s supporters not only claimed the law would not change America’s ethnic makeup, but that such a change was not desirable.
In reality, the Act resulted in a flood of new immigration from non-European nations that changed the ethnic make-up of the United States. Immigration doubled between 1965 and 1970 and doubled again between 1970 and 1990.
Kennedy is also known for the controversial death of Mary Joe Kopechne. On July 18, 1969, Kennedy was on Chappaquiddick Island at a party for the “Boiler Room Girls“, a group of young women who had worked on his brother Robert’s presidential campaign the year before. Leaving the party, Kennedy was driving a 1967 Oldsmobile Delmont 88 with one of the women, 28-year-old Mary Jo Kopechne, as his passenger, when Kennedy drove off Dike Bridge into Poucha Pond between Chappaquiddick Island and Cape Poge barrier beach. Kennedy escaped the overturned vehicle and swam to safety, but Kopechne died in the car. Kennedy left the scene and did not call authorities until after Kopechne’s body was discovered the following day.
On July 25, Kennedy pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and was given a sentence of two months in jail, suspended. That night, Kennedy gave a national broadcast in which he said, “I regard as indefensible the fact that I did not report the accident to the police immediately,” but denied driving under the influence of alcohol and denied any immoral conduct between him and Kopechne. Kennedy asked the Massachusetts electorate whether he should stay in office, and after getting a favorable response, he did.
Kennedy is survived by his wife, four children, eight grand children and three great grandchildren.

You have to wonder what his motive was for not reporting the incident as soon as possible.
The coroner concluded that Kopechne only passed away a few hours after the accident and was actually conscious for several hours before dying in the car. But I don’t expect the liberal media to ponder too much on this fact. The focus will be only on the “positives”.
What is certain is that his heritage will be there for decades to come – whether good or bad.
Never has one man done so much damage to a Nation that has given him so much.

I believe that August 25th (day Ted died) should be declared a national holiday. It should be declared a holiday because America should remember that, on that day, one of America’s greatest enemies, who was responsible for tearing apart this country with one legislative atrocity after another, finally DROPPED DEAD!

1. I’ve never driven an innocent woman off a bridge and left her to drown after swimming a mile to my hotel room to call my handlers in order to save my political ass.
2. I’ve never authored a bill to remake this country’s immigration laws to allow people into this country who defile it.
3. I’ve never advocated wholesale government takeover of the banking, auto, and health care industries in this country.
4. I’ve never advocated partial birth abortion.
5. I’ve never tried to eliminate the First and Second Amendments to the U.S. Constitution.
