Glenn Beck
While an attempted boycott of Glenn Beck’s television show has scared away some timid advertisers, ratings for the conservative commentator’s FOX News show have gone through the roof, leading some experts to believe new and more loyal advertisers will return to the program at a higher rate.
While Beck is not in prime time, his ratings since the boycott controversy have exploded to prime-time levels, even beating out fellow FOX News host Sean Hannity.
Beck’s show ”had its highest rated week ever among Households (1,907,000) and Total Viewers (2,409,000), and second best week in the A25-54 demo (682,000),” according to Media Bistro.
Beck draws 1 million more viewers at 5 pm. than CNN and MSNBC do 8-11 pm. Combined. Advertisers, looking for a large number of viewers a sense of loyalty, will eventually wise up and start patronizing the show again. At higher ad rates, now that Beck’s ratings are so high.
In fact, many of the advertisers listed as stopping their sponsorship of Beck’s program have not done so. Best Buy and CVS never ran ads on the show, despite being put in the “win” column by boycott organizer Color For Change.
Additionally, advertisers who have stopped airing spots on Beck’s show, such as Wal-Mart, have simply shifted their advertising dollars to other programming on the FOX News network, which has moved into the number two position for all cable networks. FOX News is number one in all cable news networks in prime time.
MSNBC and CNN trail at numbers 24 and 26 in prime time respectively.

The reason I watch Beck sometimes is the fact that he is one of the few cable news hosts who talks a lot about the constitution and how we have drifted away from it.
He also talks a lot about the national debt in which todays politicians seem to just want to ignore, election after election while they keep on passing more expensive bills and sink further into debt.
He definatly should have chosen his words better but he his entitled to his opinion and I think a lot of people feel the same way they just don’t say it on national T.V. :P On a side note though I wonder if the left tried to get Olbermann kicked off the air when he was almost nightly calling President Bush a Fascist and a racist?
Like Limbaugh, Hannity, Ingram and Coulter, Beck honestly believes he knows it all while trying to defend his support of the worst and most criminal administration in the history of the country. If Obama had any stones he would DEMAND justice prosecute those who subverted the Constitution and caused the death of hundreds of thousands of innocent casualties as well as a few enemies based on proven false statements made to the American People after they KNEW those facts were flawed. Beck and company are nothing more than seditionists and tratiors giving comfort to the enemy instead of actually identifying faults of the political system as they represent themselves to be doing.

He is asking the question and telling us who wrote the health bill, and he is exposing the Obama “Zars”.

Great topic with interesting discussion. This administration has ignored the constitution and is counting on the American people being to uneducated to know. And with our public school systems they just might be right. With this Presidency taking our national debt up to 11.4 trillion their is pretty much nothing the radical left can say about Him doing what is good for the country so they go back to their old mantra’s and Bush bashing.
Glenn is neither Red, nor Blue.
He is a family man, an American and he is scared and dismayed by what our politicians (all of them – both sides) have, and continue, to create.
Now it is just going ever faster and the dangers are larger than they have ever been.
Attacking him as a Republican ideologue does not work when you are speaking to people that can actually see beyond propaganda and apply logic and rational thinking to the real things that are happening.

Seems that to state the obvious about criminal acts makes you a liberal in the eyes of the ignorant. I am a republican and have been longer than most loudmouths have been out of diapers let alone able to post here. A spade is a spade and the evidence of flawed facts and outright lies is beyond question so why do we sream liberal or socialist instead of justice and moral responsiblity, because the talking heads told you to? It is what it is and should be prosecuted just as you would any “liberal” criminal act committed in the name of AMERICA.
