George-Soros-funded Moveon.org is organizing left-wing mobs to attend local townhall meetings across America in a concerted effort to steer the current health care reform debate in a socialist direction.
Moveon is also labeling average Americans voicing legitimate concern over Barack Obama’s health care reform plans as “angry right-wing extremists” and evidence is pointing towards their influence in the creation of disturbances at various events to discredit opponents to public option and death council proposals.
Among the efforts Moveon has been openly bragging on its website about spearheading are:
- A Dallas, Texas debate where MoveOn Council brought over 120 people. Moveon claims their effort “far outnumber[ed] right-wing protesters.” Photos of MoveOn members at the event ran in The New York Times.
- Setting up and engaging in face-to-face conversations with senators in Indiana, North Dakota, Maine, and Nebraska.
- Packing a Boulder, Colorado town hall with Rep. Jared Polis with socialist members from moveon.
A recent e-mailing urged members to barrage key Senators with phone calls, faxes and e-mails to pass a public option in the health care bill.

We always saw this in other countries and now we are seeing it here. The thing is how do we overcome this terrible cancer that has overtaken this country.
The far loony left knows no bounds. They are hate filled, indoctrinated with more hate. I maintain their cause is NOT to gain any particular thing escept chaos for chaos’ sake that will make everyone else as miserable as they are.
They are pathetic creatures, but damaging to civilization. We cannot let the hate-filled pathological narcissists overcome decency and reason.
I for one am usually not in favor of our government controlling much of anything; however, the healthcare system is really really bad in the US. I have investigated what other countries offer and for the U.S. being one of the wealthiest countries in the world we have the WORST healthcare system there is outside of Mexico!!! Something has to be done. IF it takes the government getting involved and giving these insurance companies some competition (feeble as it may be); it’s better than nothing. Our children in college don’t have healthcare, hell, I barely have had healthcare and it’s cost me between $500 – $700/ month for coverage for me and Stephanie. What I got for that amount was “CRAP”. They didn’t pay the doctors, there was a high deductible. I am looking at surgery for my knee but have to wait until my company insurance kicks in because I have a $1,500 deductible. I have to pay $60.00 copays and then up to $80 for drugs WITH INSURANCE! There is no excuse for the doctors, hospitals and INSURANCE COMPANIES taking advantage of the public this way. I think that all of those peoples NEED to be REGULATED. When Oil and gas prices were high years ago, the government stepped in and REGULATED those prices. It was the Republicans who fought for DE-Regulation which made those prices fly up to the moon again. The oil and gas prices are still no regulated because now we have the Foriegn Counties through OPEC pressuring prices. The Insurance Companies need to be Regulated, the Doctors and Hospitals need to be Regulated. They are gouging the public in every area and in every way. That is what our government is supposed to do: Stop Gouging by unfair practices.
I figure that if the government comes up with an insurance plan that is affordable, it’s better than what we have right now. PLUS these insurance companies are going to have to get it together to be competitive. Once they become competitive I think there will be room for improvement across the board. Besides, socialism is not about health insurance coverage. Socialism is about total political control by the government. The U.S. has Medicare, and social security (our retirement investment) and has had this for many, many, many years. Why is this not socialistic? Why haven’t they fought against this? IF putting some pressure on these insurance companies and doctors is the little bit our government can do then I’m all for it. I would bet that half of the people who are going to that rally are either in the insurance business OR are very radical republicans (probably work for the government and get their insurance for free!). They claim that they are all for taking control of our health care and getting reasonable health care for everybody. BUT where have they been over the last 10 years???? WHY haven’t they accomplished anything in this regard??? WHY have our healthcare costs skyrocketed over these last 10 years to ungodly gouging of the public??? WHY is it NOW, they are the answer??? I don’t believe it for a minute and you can pass my message back to them!
Sincerely,
An Individual and Supporter of ME and My LOVED ONES WHO NEED Fu_ _ in’ CHEAP Health Insurance no matter how it comes about, be it Government or Otherwise!!!
Wow Pat, what a pant load of lefty crap you are pushing. The fact of the matter is The US has the best healthcare system in the world. People come here from other countries for top medical care when their government run systems fail them. People used to say that Canda , the UK, France, etc. all have great government healthcare. It always works well in the begining but eventually breaks down thru government inefficiencies and bloated nonresponsive bureaucracies. Let me ask you this, what does our Federal government run well? Social Security is insolvent because its funds were misappropiated. They forced you to pay by taking it from every paycheck and told you it was for your retirement. Then they took the money for other purposes. If that type of misappropiation was perpetrated by a Corporation, you would have legal recourse. What could you do when the Feds did it? Call a cop? Medicare is insolvent because its funds were misappropiated to say nothing of the fraud waste and abuse that the system can never correct. The Post Office is insolvent because it does not respond to market pressures and changes. They lost 7 Billion dollars last year and 5 Billion the year before. UK politicans are warning us not to go down the same healthcare path. It is unsustainable. Also, how can you justify giving the Federal government 16% of our Gross Domestic Product with such a miserable track record. I don’t want to change the whole system because of a small percentage of uninsured. And yes it is a small percentage when you factor out people who are changing jobs and their insurance hasn’t kicked in yet, illegals, and young people who have the opportunity for insurance but refuse it. We should just tweak the system and provide a catastrophic option to those who are truely in need. I see people spend their money on cell phones and video games and then expect someone else to pay for the doctor bills. Get your priorities straight. Listen people, be very careful what is happening here. The Federal government is intruding too much in the private sector. I see how Medicare actually drives up healthcare costs. I have been in Purchasing for over 15 years. When I first started I had Medical Supply Companies soliciting my Company. When it came time for me to compare prices for goods and services they all said ” Don’t worry we just bill Medicare and they will pay all the costs. Just a small example of what I saw was a box of Latex Gloves going for $38.00 with a reputable vendor and $300.00 from an unscruptlous vendor, who routinely would bill and get paid from Medicad with our tax dollars. Government run healthcare is unsustainable. Obama, Pelosi, Frank and their ilk just wants to rush it thru and it’s another power grab for the Federal government. Why do we have to destroy the greatest healthcare system in the world because of a few percentage of uninsured? If you own a house and your furnace breaks, would you bulldoze the whole house and build a new one? Tweak the system because it’s a good system We have hard working, dedicated Doctors and Nurses. We have the latest and greatest drugs available because of our Capitalist system. It takes billions of dollars by the time a medication goes from research , development and trials before it gets to market. These drugs keep us healthy and extend our lives. Additionally, if the current Administration was serious about true healthcare reform, they need Tort reform. One of the major causes for increases is skyrocketing malpractice insurence. Why is no one addressing that? The Obama administration is full of trial lawyers so that issue is never on the table. Oh and by the way, the government did nothing to bring down oil prices. Quite the contrary, the left prevented us from drilling domestically and this just keeps us dependent on foreign oil form countries who are our enemies.
Pat K.
You must really enjoy the Stuff that you are smoking –
because 95% of what you are saying is not true – it comes from Marxist Socialist Liberal talking Points of the Marxist Socialist Educated Chairman Mao Obama !!
First you need to have a Head Doctor talk to you about your Perseved Troubles !
You Have A Great Day !
GOD BLESS AMERICA !
PAT, I agree with you and support the President in health care reform. I am paying $550 a month and co-pay is $40 for doctor and a $2000 deductible for hospital/diagnostic.
For those who oppose health care reform, I wish they would lose their jobs, lose their health insurance, get real sick and have to sell their home to pay the doctors and hospital.
You will see them crawling back and vote with their hands and feet.
Now now Perry. Would you rather pay $550.00 a month for health insurance monthly or have a tax rate of 60% taken out of every paycheck for the rest of your life. Even the CBO ( Congressional Budget Office ), a non partisan government accounting office says the Omama plan won’t work. Most people are in favor of tweaking the system for some kind of catastrophic coverage. I wouldn’t wish anyone to lose their job or their healthcare. Also, 70 – 80% of Americans are satisified with their healthcare
I love how you wingnuts consider any program that helps the little guy out “socialist”, but have no problem with Republicunt corporate welfare! You turkeys talk about big government, but what about the “big government” of sinking billions of taxpayer dollars into the military industrial complex, and wasting billions of dollars in no- bid contracts on scumbag Halliburton. Or expanding the powers of “big government” with the Patriot Act?! All the hicks in the red states decry “Obamacare” as big government, but gladly take “big government” money from Fema whenever their towns get knocked down by tornados! Brilliant political base there! You righty fascists should be ashamed of being the whores of the hmos that rape the working class guy every day, but then you all are the unpaid mouthpieces of the non- contributing richest 2%, anyway- what rocket scientists, no wonder your ideology is dying! Toodoolooo!!!
P.S.- You rightiy tighties say that government can’t be trusted with taxpayer money, but yet they dso a fine job of managing the military, which you dittoheads worship like you were in ancient Sparta! Socialism? I’ll take for-the-little-guy socialism over greedy, traitorous, for-profit-at-all-costs fascism. You righties always profess to speak for the moral values of Jesus, what the FUCK do you think he would do about the healthcare(or lack of) debate?! Here’s a hint- he wouldn’t give a shit about the 3rd quarter revenues of the shareholders of Empire Blue Cross/ Blue Shield!
i can’t help but wonder if ian is being disingenuous or just a dope. we don’t consider any program that helps a “little guy”as socialist. why do you come to that conclusion? social security helps out more than just the “little guy”, it helps us all. medicare was a good idea also. The problem with these and other government run programs is that the fraud, waste and abuse is rampant and uncontrollable. Any large bureaucracy is inefficient. why give the federal government all the control and power of our healthcare system? they run nothing well. don’t u get it ian? they misappropiate funds. they have nothing but poor track records. and yes, the military has bureaucracy problems but at least we are kept safe in the process. haliburtin got the contract in iraq because we had to act quickly and the bidding process would have taken too long. they went with a known entity with a good track record and while there was some impropieities ( see any big governemt beuracracy) the vast ammount of money was well spent. fraud and waste should be scrutinized everywhere but at least we are being protected. in addition, even if government healthcare was run well today, what about when the current group of duplicitious leftie nuts are finished? Programs change as politicans needs and whims change. at least with “evil corporations” you have recourse in the courts. when politicans stole your social security money, what could be done about it? i think that people don’t realize that greedy and corrupt individuals don’t just go to work for corporations, they go into politics too. politicans can be just as greedy and corrupt as the worst corporate offenders. politicans get “bought off” with bribes, lobbying special interest groups and sweetheart deals for themselves ( see obama and tony resco) etc. and whats with the backward mentality of “if you don’t want the feds running healtcare, then you shouldn’t take money from any government run program”? the point is fix what u have now, don’t add our most personal and private resouce of healtcare to an inept system.
p.s. ian, such nonsense from you. you’ll take little guy socialism over greedy, traitorous, profit for all cost fascism. it is laughable on so many levels that you come to that conclusion from your opposition. is that truely the way u think ? why are trying to paint all who disagree with you with such an absurdly broad brush? the fact is that giving the government control of our healthcare make it much more of a fascist government. we are for less government interference in the private sector. and in case your not familiar with the republican ideas for tweaking the healthcare system, how about torte reform, medical savings accounts, the ability to transferi your healtcare from state to state, a catastropic health care option for those truely in need, and more. but the whitehouse has a majority of a complicit media that does their propaganda for them and you don’t get to hear the right ideas. after all, wasn’t it abc, a national public network, that devoted a full half hour to the financially unsustainable government run healthcare plan of obama and refused to allow any alternate voices? the network even refused paid commercials that would run the republicans alternatives. so there really is no debate is there? just more urgency from obama to shove another massive government bureaucracy down our throat and you so willing to accept. and by the way, God helps those who help themselves. put down the ipods and cell phone, delay the purchas of a new hd lcd tv or other luxuries and use that money toward you own health care.
