In her first online comments since leaving the office of Alaska governor, Sarah Palin has come out swinging against Barack Obama’s proposed national healthcare plan, calling it “downright evil” in an op-ed piece posted on her Facebook account.
“The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s ‘death panel’ so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their ‘level of productivity in society,’ whether they are worthy of health care,” Palin wrote, referencing Thomas Sowell and Ronald Reagan in her piece.
“Such a system is downright evil.”
Palin has shown a tech-savvy approach in her media relations, using social networking sites Facebook and Twitter to get her message directly to the public and surpassing the left-leaning filters of MainStream Media.
Despite claims that the Annenburg-sponsored group FactCheck.org that ObamaCare would not encourage euthanasia for elderly and terminally-ill patients, a provision in the House Bill would require Medicare to pay for end-of-life counseling sessions.
Many Americans have become increasingly worried about what ObamaCare would eventually look like due to recent statements Obama has made, such as the infamous “take a pill” townhall meeting quote:

I am with Sarah Palin on this issue. She is one of the few honest people who has been in public office.
It’s shocking and appalling that Palin can get away with telling these bald-faced lies. No one anywhere has proposed any sort of “death panel” relating to fetuses. And the end of care provisions relate to living wills and DNR requests. Arguments that this provision refers to euthanizing the elderly are outright lies.
It’s sad that Republicans can’t have this debate with lying. You’re all going to die!!!

Why oh why can’t the Republicans see that this woman is a terribly embarrassing person to have speaking for them? I cannot wait until she (hopefully) goes in obscurity. She does nothing to help the party.
