Activist Lawyer Orly Taitz claims she has the real birth certificate of Barack Obama, which proves he is not a natural born citizen.
The alleged birth certificate shows Barack Hussein Obama as being born at Coast General Hospital in Kenya on August 4, 1961. While no doctor is named, the alleged document bears the signature of the deputy registrar of Coast Province, Joshua Simon Oduya.
Taitz claims she received the government copy of the birth certificate from a man who is “afraid for his life” and wishes to remain anonymous.

While this should prove once and for all that Barack Obama was not born in the United States and disqualifies him for holding the office of President, there are some questions to its authenticity. The alleged certificate is supposedly from the Republic of Kenya and is dated February 17, 1964. However, while Kenya did win independence from the United Kingdom on December 12, 1963, the Republic of Kenya was not declared until December 12, 1964.
Rove: It's a forgery.
News of the alleged birth certificate was naturally met with disdain by Democrat Party supporters of Obama. In an unusual stance, Republican leaders and conservatives also voiced their skepticism. Chief Republican strategist Karl Rove said he believes the document is a forgery in a Twitter post this morning. Conservative talk show host Glen Beck has derided the so-called “Birther” movement as well. “What, you’re going to take him out of office? You can’t do that,” Beck said.
That is exactly what Taitz intends. In an interview with conservative talk radio host Michael Savage Monday night, Taitz said once proven ineligible to hold the office, Obama would have to step down from the presidency. Vice President Joe Biden would only be an interim president for the time that a new election could be held and an entirely new president and administration could take the reins.
However, more information questioning the authenticity of the alleged birth certificate surfaced late Monday. The Washington Independent has posted a copy of a 1964 Australian birth certificate and noted the striking similarities between it and the alleged Obama Kenyan birth certificate.
Writer David Weigel notes several identical points:
- The design is identical, down to the seal at the top and the classifications (”Christian name,” etc) used for identifying the baby.
- The “registrar” on the Bomford document is G.F. Lavender.On the Taitz document, it’s E.F. Lavender.
- The “district registrar” on the Bomford document is J.H. Miller. On the Taitz document, it’s M.H. Miller.
- The number of the book is identical on both documents: Book 44B, Page 5733.
However, because both Kenya and Australia are British Commonwealth nations, it would be natural legal documents would have similarities between the two countries. It is also possible a printer from the United Kingdom printed both certificates.

While the 1964 date of the document is a point of dispute for its authenticity, it may also lend to its credence as well. Obama’s parents were divorcing in 1964 and his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, had to request a birth certificate with a signature for the proceedings. Immediately after the divorce, Stanley Ann married Lolo Soetoro and moved to Indonesia. She used the birth certificate so Soetoro could adopt Obama and he could attend Islamic school under the Indonesian name of Barry Soetoro.
To carry this through a little further, the lawyer handling the Obama divorce in the early ’60s, would have collected all the relevant papers and certified copies of documents like Obama’s Kenyan birth certificate. Theoretically, the Democrat Party failed to find this one certified copied of Obama’s birth certificate that was still in America, which wound up in the hands of Orly Taitz.
Taitz, who along with Philadelphia lawyer Philip Berg, has filed several lawsuits attacking Obama’s eligibility to hold the office of President of the United States based on his natural born status, has now moved for an official authentication of the document she holds.

A natural born citizen does NOT require two American parents. You simply need to be born in within the borders, protectorates and Americanized zones of the United States of America. For example, even though Puerto Rico isn't technically a state, Puerto Ricans are U.S. Citizens due to the Jones-Shafroth Act of 1917.
I would like to offer a list of Presidential candidates whose citizenship was called into question: Chester A. Arthur, George Romney, Barry Goldwater, Lowell Weicker, John McCain. John McCain was born in the American zone in Panama and was still eligible.
In any case, the Founders did not specifically define "natural born citizen", just as they did not define "right to bear arms".

Actually, it only requires ONE parent to be a american and born in the US to be considered Natural born Citizen,, Also the immigrant law states that a parent cannot take away the american citizen of a minor child, there is no proof that Obama's second husband ever adopted him, to do so, the name on the orginally brith certificate would have been changed, that is a requirement of law, the adopting parent has their name on the orginal brith certificate,,

It is possible the same document was used in Australia and Kenya, and even came of the same printer. It’s also possilble that South Australian Registrar G.F. Lavender’s brother, E.F. Lavender, was the Kenya Registrar. It goes without saying the Hinimarsh District Register J.H. Miller’s son, M.H. Miller, was the Coastal District Register. And the fact that both Registration Of Births were recorded on the same book # (44B) and the same page (5733)? Well, that is just one of life’s great coincidences.

Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649 (1898), the Supreme Court ruled that a person who is born in the United States becomes, at the time of his birth, a citizen of the United States, by virtue of the first clause of the 14th amendment of the Constitution.

IMMINENT QUESTION:
What happens to Judge Sotomayor’s confirmation as Supreme Court Justice if the Constitution’s “natural born citizen” Presidential eligibility requirement is subsequently determined applicable to Barack Obama on the basis of Article 2′s exclusion of dual citizenship birth (doesn’t matter whether Obama born in Hawaii since his dad was British citizen at the time)? It would seem prudent, if not dereliction of Constitutional duty in not so doing, for the United States Senate to defer voting on Judge Sotomayor’s confirmation at the very least until there is determination, now imminent, on standing in Kerchner v. Congress (USDC NJ) on that precise issue (Congressional failure to take up the raised and known constitutional ineligibility question prior to declaring a Presidential winner in the vote of the electoral college). For the full Senate now to proceed to vote to confirm Judge Sotomayor (an otherwise lifetime appointment) before then, would be a knowing and very substantial exacerbation of any inherent Constitutional crisis — compounding the previous Congressional dereliction. That is, the Executive Branch, as well as conceivably all actions of a Congress under a President determined ineligible, would leave the Supreme Court as an essential unfettered remaining Branch of the Federal Government, that is unfettered so long as Mr. Obama’s nominee is not yet confirmed by the Senate.
Will not one Senator, let alone Republican Senator, raise this issue on the Senate floor? The nation is watching.

Scotus has referred to it in Minor vs Happersett and clearly said that a natural born citizen has parents who were citizens at time of child’s birth plus born on US soil. Scotus also said that there are “doubts” as to the natural born citizenship of children born in the US but who have non-US parents, in this same case.
McCain (born on Panamanian soil) and Jindal (born to non US citizen parents at time of his birth) ARE BOTH NOT ELIGIBLE EITHER!
Wong Kim Ark and the 14th amendment, refer ONLY to “citizens” or “native citizens” but NOT natural born citizens.

Re the alleged birth certificate shown on this site. Apparently it is a manipulated copy of an Australian birth certificate, which also cost 7s and 6d (seven shillings and six pence). If the birthers were to check with the Kenyan government and found out that certified copies of Kenyan birth certificates issued in 1964 (which is when this copy allegedy was made) really did cost seven shillings and six pence, someone might believe them.
Seven shillings and six pence would have been a LOT of money for a poor country like Kenya in 1964.
The South Australian BC was printed by W.L.HAWES, government printer, Adelaide.
Kenya never used a currency, which included pence (abbreviated to d on both docs), but Australia used to before it went over to dollars and cents.

ok people, you don't have to have parents who are citizens, as long as you were born here, you are a citizen. Look at the Mexicans, their kids are born here so they get taken away from the mom and the mom gets deported. As for McCain, he was born on an American base in Panama, which is American soil, hence, an American Citizen. Obama was born in Hawaii, hence he is an American, regardless if his parents(or in this case, parent) isn't.
