Incoming UK Home Secretary Alan Johnson has announced the lifting of a travel ban on conservative American talk radio host Michael Savage, calling the restriction a “blunder.”
Savage appeared on a list of people banned from entering the United Kingdom last May, alongside Hamas terrorists and Russian skinheads currently serving prison time for murder.
The ban prompted Savage to launch a libel suit against then-Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, seeking £100,000 in damages and the removal of his name from the list.
Smith quickly became the symbol of everything from with Gordon Brown’s government, and resigned in June from her position over the growing controversies, including an MP expense scandal.
Smith last week admitted in an interview that she was unprepared for the Home Secretary position, which is equivalent to that of Homeland Security director in America.
“When I became home secretary I’d never run a major organization,” she told Total Politics magazine. “I hope I did a good job but if I did it was more by luck than by any kind of development of skills. I think we should have been better trained. I think there should have been more induction.”
A stunned Savage said he will believe his name will be lifted from the list when he sees it in writing. Until then, he will continue his lawsuit.

Better trained? More induction? What are you a new grad? Maybe some training on professional ethics? Way to reinforce the notion that you are a retarded bitch – treating islamofascists better than Danish politicians and american broadcasters. Yeah, Gordon browne is serious – know hints of “peace in our time” here at all! And your talking about “induction?” freaking retarded laborites.
Well, at least she admits she’s a bumbling idiot.
They should keep the ban on Yekutiel “Mike” Guzofsky, yimach shmo vezichro, shem reshaim yirkav. He is a real piece of drek.

Now Savage should ban Brittan from HIS travel list.
Whatever anybody thinks about Michael Savage, no way he belonged on that list and Jacqui Smith blundered big time when she included him. I don’t know how stupid she is, but she certainly did not do her homework on that. I do think it is refreshing anytime a politician admits incompetence though. That doesn’t happen ever on this side of the pond.
I wonder if he lifts ideas and dialogue from Britt talk shows?
Does anybody think Hitlery and Obongo pressured the Brits to remove Savage?
This is good news, but what about Don Black, the founder of Stormfront? His name is still on the list and he has not done anything violent.
Jacqui Smith’s leftist game backfired on herself.
Labour’s days are numbered and they know it. I’m afraid it’s just a tad too late to try and BS us now.
He is not off the list, it is just not being advertised publically anymore. The list still exists and he is still on it.
