A series of massive cyberattacks between the United States and North Korea that began on July 4th seems to not be letting up, leading some to believe the two countries are engaged in the first-ever Cyber War.
The Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDOS) attacks hit US and South Korean government websites on July 4th, targeting computers at the White House, the Pentagon, NASDAQ. The websites of the Department of Transportation, the Treasury Department and the Federal Trade Commission were shut down for days following the July 4th attack.
The DDOS attacks coincided with the anticipated testing of a long-range missile that had the potential to hit Hawaii by Communist rogue nation. Although that missile was never launched, North Korea did fire off several scud missiles.
South Korean officials have confirmed that attacks are originating from North Korea. Some 12,000 computer in North Korea and 8,000 computers overseas have been infected and used for the cyber attack and said it believed the attack was ‘thoroughly’ prepared and committed by hackers ‘at the level of a certain organization or state’. This marks the first time that such cyber warfare has been ordered by a state against a rival government.

ea as the culprit of these attacks implicates its Communist ally China, which has already been named as the country from which cyber attacks on the White House and computers for the Obama and McCain campaigns occurred last summer. A massive Chinese computer spy network was uncovered by Canadian researchers last March.
Speculation indicates the current attacks may only be a testing of American and South Korean computer defenses, and a much larger and more penetrating attack may come soon.
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, released a statement yesterday where he said he was “increasingly concerned” about the cyberattacks.
American and South Korean hackers have reportedly launched a counter-offensive, but little information is available on what this entails.
Meanwhile, it is believed that the thousands of South Korean computers infected with the virus for the attack will self-destruct Friday, if their owners have not taken the recommended precautions for cleaning out their system.
Computer owners are encouraged to update all their virus and other protection systems.

He was accompanied by Vice Marshal of the KPA Kim Yong Chun, minister of the People’s Armed Forces, General of the KPA Ri Yong Ho, chief of the General Staff of the KPA, General of the KPA Kim Jong Gak, first vice-director of the General Political Department of the KPA, Vice Marshal of the KPA Kim Il Chol, first vice-minister of the People’s Armed Forces,
staff members of the Supreme Command of the KPA and other general officers of the KPA.
He together with the above-said commanding officers of the NDC and the KPA paid homage to President Kim Il Sung.
National Memorial Service Held Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) — A national memorial service was solemnly held here Wednesday to commemorate the 15th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung. General Secretary Kim Jong Il was present there.
Also present there were senior officials of the party, the army and the state, officials of the party and armed forces organs, ministries and national institutions, servicepersons of the Korean People’s Army, officials in the fields of science, education, culture and arts, public health and media, anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters, bereaved families
of revolutionary martyrs, those who had the honor of being received by the President, those related to his revolutionary activities, heroes, persons of merits and working people in Pyongyang, overseas Koreans and the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-imperialist National Democratic Front.
The participants in the service observed a moment’s silence in memory of the President.
Kim Yong Nam, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly, made a memorial address.
In his memorial address he said that Kim Il Sung was a peerlessly great man whom the Korean people greeted and held in high esteem for the first time in the history spanning five thousand years, the founder of socialist Korea, the father of the nation and the eternal sun of Juche.
He went on: The President was an outstanding thinker and theoretician who founded the immortal Juche idea and clearly indicated the way to be followed by the times and revolution, a legendary hero who started the Songun revolutionary cause of Juche and saved the destiny of the country and the nation with arms of revolution and an invincible and iron-willed commander who ushered in a new era of the anti-imperialist struggle.
The President was a distinguished statesman who built the socialist state centred on the popular masses for the first time in history and laid a solid foundation for the eternal prosperity of the country and the nation, a lodestar of national reunification who showed the most correct way of
national reunification and worked his heart and soul to achieve it till the last moments of his life and a universally recognized political elder who made a great contribution to accomplishing the cause of global independence.
His revolutionary life was a great life of the genuine leader of the people and tender-hearted father who made a history of the warmest love and dedication to the people, guided by his noble idea of believing in people as in Heaven.
His brilliant life and feats will last forever along with the eternal
prosperity of the country and the nation and the victorious advance of the cause of human liberation and he will always be alive in the hearts of the army and people of the DPRK and humankind.
His revolutionary idea and cause are being successfully carried forward and accomplished by Kim Jong Il in all fields, the speaker noted, underscoring the need to wage a dynamic struggle to build a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation and thus translate the desire of the President into a brilliant reality, make a hundred-year history of Kim
Il Sung’s Korea a history of prosperity to be always recorded in the history of the country and bring earlier the reunification of the country and the final victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche.

The North Koreans are a mal-nourished people living virtually in 3rd world conditions. People who are living in constant fear of the “re- education camps”. People who fear the great leader so much that sadly, they are the ones who are the puppets who lack dignity and self respect among other necessary needs of the human spirit. People with no right to decide , and who have no choice for themselves and their family. Family’s torn apart by a fear mongering, war mongering dictator who exemplifies communism and all of it’s diabolical dogma just as Stalin did, and all the others who flew the “sick flag of communism”.

People in the USA have the “freedom” to be homeless, die from lack of medical care, go hungry, lose their life savings and be unemployed, as well as be exploited by fat cats and the very rich. Most people who lived – and live – in socialist countries never had to worry about this. I’d rather live in Cuba, the former GDR, or the DPRK than in the USA.
