NY Gov. David Patterson and Senate Majority leader Malcolm Smith
Malcom Smith, the first African-American Majority Leader of the New York State Senate, reportedly fired 200 State staffers because of their race shortly after taking office last January and replaced them with minorities.
The shocking charge comes from Fredric U. Dicker, a journalist who has been covering Albany for the last three decades. The firings are among a long list of reasons Dicker writes in The New York Post for deciding to stop reporting on New York State politics, ever since the Democrat Party took the majority position in the State Senate. Dicker writes:
During the first five months of this year, with the Senate under the control of its first African-American majority leader, [Malcolm] Smith, top Democrats bemoaned the lack of minority Senate staffers.
But instead of trying to recruit new hires, they fired nearly 200 almost exclusively white workers and replaced them with a large number of minority employees, many of whom were seen by their fellow workers to be unskilled at their new jobs.
The move produced severe racial tensions, made worse by the fact that, as a high-level Democratic staffer confided, “We’ve been told to only hire minorities.”
This is not the first time Patterson has been involved with the firing of Whites because of their race. New York State quietly settled a reverse-discrimination lawsuit filed by 56-year old White photographer Joseph Maioriello, was fired after 26 years on the job because Governor Patterson wanted an African-American in his place.
Maioriello was awarded US $300,000 in the settlement. If each of the 200 fired white Senate staffers file suit and are awarded an equal amount, it will cost the cash-strapped state $60 million.

This is just payback for the way that white America treated its black residents who suffered from 400 years of chattel slavery and Jim Crow persecution after they were sold into bondage and murdered in the middle passage. This is just chump change. Just wait until reparations!!
