   yes he did invent the moonwalk cuz what they did on this video above was not the same, MJ used his toes and heels to slide back all they did on the video was use their toes to slide back. So basically he did invent but he just perfected what they did with both his heels & toes to slide back.

    Wow..people are still bashing Michael even after his death. It is amazing to me because he did more, earned more recognition, and contributed more to this world in a week than most of you will have done in your entire life! You can make jokes of his faults because I am positive NONE of you are perfect! The difference is that he will be remembered forever for more positive aspects than negative…what will YOU be known for…oh yeah I got it…the idiot that leaves stupid messages about others on blogs….lol! He may not have invented the original move but he perfected it and brought a style to it that no other has done and will ever top! Let him rest in peace…..

    Actually, MJ DID NOT invent the moon walk, he learned it by paying for dance lessons from young dancers in the city’s that were doing stuff like popping, roboting, waving, gliding, and so on. When asked where he learned his dance from, he simply said “The children of the ghetto” The moon walk had already been around for a couple years, it was called the “Back slide” or “Back glide” He re-named it and never gave the original creators credit. Anyone that thinks he actually invented that move is probably just a over-devoted fan.
