Agriculture Minister Tina Moemat-Pettersson
New South African Agriculture minister Tina Joemat-Pettersson, said Tuesday the government will not expropriate White-owned farms and redistribute them to Blacks, noting such a move would damage the already-bruised economy.
“With our willing-buyer, willing-seller policy there are times when the land becomes too expensive for the state to purchase, and if we face a programme of expropriation, it would further destabilise the economic industry of agriculture,” Joemat-Pettersson told an agribusiness conference in Cape Town.
In 1994, the ANC-ruling party set a goal of taking 30% of White-owned land and putting into Black ownership. So far, only 4% has gone into Black hands.
Joemat-Pettersson told reporters last week that commercial farming is vital to reviving the South African agricultural industry.

Most of the white-owned farms were ALREADY confiscated prior to 1994. What’s left of white-owned farmstoday is just a fraction of what was. AND, that’s one of the reasons South Africa is such an economic and social basketcase. What used to be a modern country, is now a Third-World cesspool, at best. It’s fast slipping into an uncivilized, primitive society….like much of the rest of the continent.
I’m sorry but we as the original inhabitants of South Africa deserve our chance to excel and to throw off the yoke of apartheid colonial chains which the white Europeans enslaved us. You can always emigrate to the U.S. or Europe or Australia or N.Z. We have nowhere elso to go.

Are you joking, you are not the original inhabitants of SA, the first Boers came as early as the XVIth Century,one century before the Xhosas, they are “White Africans” indeed!
and what does it mean “original inhazbitants” ? In American, it was the Indian tribes, so in your book all non Red Indians should leave America? do you know what’s that called? “ethnic cleansing”!
But beware of racist policies on the African continent, there could be a backlash in Europe against the massive African presence there from the indigenous Europeans too…
