Barack Obama has pledged US $73 million to Zimbabwe, noting the country has come some way after a power-sharing agreement allowed Morgan Tsvangirai to become Prime Minister.
The money will go directly to helping Zimbabwe’s poor, who are suffering from mass starvation and a cholera epidemic brought about by a breakdown in the country’s infrastructure.
“There was a time when Zimbabwe was the breadbasket of Africa. And it continues to have enormous potential,” Obama said. “It has gone through a very dark and difficult period politically. The president, President Mugabe, I think I’ve made my views clear, has not acted, oftentimes, in the best interests of the Zimbabwean people and has been resistant to the kinds of democratic changes that need to take place.”
The announcement was made on June 12 after Tsvangirai met with Obama at the White House. Tsvangirai has been on a fundraising tour of Western European countries for his destitute country.

Don’t give Zim a cent. They have to hit rock bottom in order to kick Bobby out. Every cent will be spent by the First Spender, Grace.
i wonder what stooopid thing alley poop will post to justify robert mugabe and his criminal regime’s reign of terror ?
=bob just die already, you old damn fool=
Our economy is in shambles, obama admits we’re out of money, and he wants to pledge $73 million more, that we don’t have to basically mugabe? It’s unbelievable. God help the lunatics are running the asylum.
patagonianproud: You schmuck! Look at Edmond Dantes!
He is only propping up his role model. I guess Mugabe is too much of a failure to fail?
AND, who is responsible for all that turmoil in that godforsaken country?!
That money is going to go straight into Mugabee and Tsvangirai’s Swiss bank accounts, just as the aid going to the rest of the corrupt regimes on that continent.
Sounds like they need some Boers?
Pity they prefer to slaughter them, isn’t it? But hey, what goes around…
Yes Mr. Genius Messiah Barry Hussein, Rhodesia was the breadbasket of Africa, now it is the basket case of Africa because of black communist dictators like comrade Mugabe and a street agitator (namely you) who cannot deal with the world. The master of street agitators Saul Alinsky taught you to instigate and organize losers to take and steal. But when it comes to building, creating and leading show exactly nothing.
Let us keep the $73 million dollars here in the United states and send you instead, no one would know the difference.
Than you could have another ghostwriter write a book for you named, “Dreams of plastic black dictator”.
Blood is thicker than water.
Did you really expect the Foreign Occupier to do anything different? I labled him, “Little Mugabe” before the election. Am I wrong? He said he’d “negoitate” without preconditions with the Parthian murderers. He had invited them to the U.S. embassies on July 4th, our holy day. Now, how about some money for Die BoereVolk who are being destroyed by the Bantus in Suid Afrika? They’ve “shared power” with die Bantus, so why not? Oh, pardon me, they’re WHITE, so of course he wouldn’t do a thing!
Maybe Obama means Zim dollars. Still too much!
Once again the great frank is correct! And I whole heartedly, agree with him. Oh, one last thing. How do you “negotiate” with a murderer like mugabe?
Ja Frank is right
Frank has been telling us for more than a year what this FO is all about. As always he is spot on.
These racist bastards killed thousands of farmers and their families, and now they’re starving. Good. There has always been people stupid enough to destroy theirselves in order to spite their enemies.
I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the Øtard has an agreement with Mugabe to get half of this once it gets transferred to the billions that Mugabe has already stashed in his Swiss bank accounts. The joke will be on Øtard when Mugabe “forgets” the agreement.
I was a fan of Obama, until I read this article!! He obviously supports Mugabe’s actions.
