Call To Ban South African Republic Flag

flag_sarSouth African political commentator Khaya Dlanga has called for the legal banning of the old Republic of South Africa flag, as was the swastika in post-war Germany.

“As I celebrated the emphatic victory of the Blue Bulls over the Chiefs, a bad taste was left in my mouth when I saw an old flag waving in the stadium,” Dlanga wrote in his latest op-ed piece for the Mail & Guardian. “That flag is right up there with the use of the word ‘kaffir’ as far as I’m concerned. If you wave that flag in front of me that’s what you are calling me.”

Don't call me kaffir: Khaya Dlanga

Don't call me kaffir: Khaya Dlanga

Dlanga’s call for banning of the SAR flag comes after a statement by Deputy Sports Minister Gert Oosthuizen, who said it was an insult to the government and President Jacob Zuma, who took time out to personally wish the Bulls well, that old flags appeared at Loftus Versfeld during the Super 14 final.

Dlanga said Chapter 2, section 16 of the Bill of Rights says: ‘Everyone has the right to freedom of expression,’ but this did ‘not extend to propaganda for war; incitement of imminent violence; or advocacy of hatred that is based on race, ethnicity, gender or religion, and that constitutes incitement to cause harm’. Dlanga added: ‘That flag will incite violence. ‘It also advocates hatred based on race and ethnicity. Banning that flag does not only protect those who are subjected to what it advocates, but those who advocate the hate it symbolises, too.’

I find the flag of the Old South Africa to be an affront and an offense to those Xhosas and Zulus who suffered so much from the racist regime of apartheid Verwoerd backward thinking. It makes me cry to think that it even exists today. All South Africans are brothers and sisters. Can't we rid ourselves of this backward looking symbol of hate and love one another?

A flag will incite violence, but black savages dancing in the streets shouting “Kill the Boer” whilst 3,058 farmers have been murdered constitutes freedom of expression.

That flag represents propaganda for war, but a black savage ANCYL president shouting “We will kill for Zuma” doesn’t.

That is what we refer to as mud hut mentality in Africa and you’ll understand where the saying “you can take the savage out the wild, but you can’t take the wild out the savage” comes from.

    Hear, hear Johann.

What is okay for the Black P…, I mean Goose, should be okay for the White Gander.

I prefer the ol’ Republican Flag above that new T-shirt rag they hang on their poles these days. And besides that these Blacks are all super Racists, supporters of Blackman’s Apartheid (AA/BEE/BBBEE). They never ever created any jobs, as there was nothing when Whitey arrived. All they’re good at is stealing and destroying.

Lets try and get a White Homeland in the Westen Cape and be rid of those Black blood suckers..

Waving the old flag is more in rebellion against the new racist system than support for the old. If anybody thinks it should be banned then so should the old communist flag of the USSR be banned, which the SA communist party waves around unashamedly. That flag represents more oppression and bloodshed than any other flag. All those that criticize the old SA flag only, are a bunch of hypocrites.

As a white bloke I can’t help but feel pity for the poor sods that proudly wave the old flag around. here is a segment of society where this is held as a point of pride but they are nothing better than hillbillies “Meet my sister who is also my wife”.
We won’t ever be rid of them, and it’s up to us as a civilised society to tolerate them, but banning the flag will only make it more popular and more valuable.
Also, Johann does have a point, what about the “Kill the Boer, Kill the Farmer”, “umShini wam” and “One Settler One Bullet” slogans that our honourable leaders love to chant.
Given that thousands of farmers (black and white) get murdered this is a direct and deliberate incitement to violence that sould be prosecuted.
Can you imagine the leaders of the UK or USA coming up with that? They would be lynched out of office in embarrassement but in SA we have t0 live with that

All this moral relativity is annoying me … eek

The REAL reason why they hate that flag is because it represents their worst nightmare… no not "racist oppression" but white unity.

Look at the center bit of the flag. The flags are the Union Jack, and that of the 2 Boer republics. The anglos and boers were at war 1 decade prior to the formation of the flag in 1910. The 3 flags under one new flag is meant to announce to the world that white unity is in progress.

White Unity is what they REALLY fear loathe and hate.

When White people united in Germany, it took a global war to break them. When White people united in SA, it took the ENTIRE planet 3 decades to break us with wars, terrorism, sanctions and bribery of our spineless leaders.

Global white unity under the leadership of uncorruptable white men, is the ultimate fear of the other races. So dont be duped into trying to explain the hypocrisy by means of moral relativity as many of you do.

Accept it for what it is: A spine chilling fear of global white unity that will be attacked from every angle at any time as aggressively as possible by the mud races.

  7. RDM says

As a proud SA-American, I refuse to fly the new flag. My people built a nation from nothing, even after the British take-over. We weren't illegals from homelands and from nations to the north: we were settlers. We took up the plough, defended our farms, and built a modern, effecient, anti-communist, nuclear power from nothing. I will never fly that new g-string shaped, ahistorical claptrap. Long fly the Prince's Flag! Long Live South Africa! Onthou!
