The British National Party is poised to win its first seats in the European Parliament, an event the political party calls “game changing” and “seismic” should it happen.
European Parliaments seats are won on a basis of proportional representation, which means a party wins a seat if it gets over a certain percentage threshold. That threshold varies upon the region – in the South East, for example, the threshold is estimated to be 7.5%, while in the North West, it is 8.5%.
The BNP is expected to gain a seat in Britain’s North West and win as much as 12% in some areas. Analysts predict that the party could win as many as five of the 72 European seats.
BNP Spokesman Simon Darby said a victory would help them overcome negative press about its political platform, which is decidedly pro-British, anti-European Union and advocates paying immigrants for “voluntary repatriation.”
Foreign Secretary David Millibrand lamented public anger at the ongoing MP expense scandal turning some voters towards “the politics of hate.”

I live in Chicago but I support the BNP totally. Immigration is the single most important issue to europe . The people of the UK are being displaced from their own country and it is because they are afraid of speaking out. Nick Griffin has taken the lead, the citizens have the easy job of just going to the polls and voting . If you do not vote for the BNP , then your children will curse you as being cowards and just plain stooges who allowed their country to be taken over by third world immigrants without even firing a single bullet.

Bill, you are not very well informed. Perhaps if you were you might change your views. Then again, you have so much emotion attached to those views that I suspect that trivial matters such as reality and facts will have no impact.
First, the BNP exists to represent the native British people. Naturally it does not have non-native Britons as members. Does the Black Police Officer’s Association have White members? Of course not. That would defeat it’s very reason for existing.
Second, a “British Citizen” is anyone defined as such by the government of the day. That appellation does not mean that all “British Citizens” are members of the native British population. Similarly,not all “American Citizens” are native Americans. Oh, by the way, there is no such thing as a “British Citizen” in UK law. The correct legal term is “British Subject”.
Third, three prosecutions have been pursued against Nick Griffin. Each was for supposed incitement to racial hatred. He was convicted in 1998, but found not guilty twice, in 2005 and 2006. The 2005 and 2006 trials related to the same incidents.
These prosecutions are not a condemnation of Nick Griffin. Rather, they are a condemnation of the ever more draconian laws that are deemed necessary to maintain inter-racial conflict at a fairly low level in an increasingly multi-racial Britain. That such laws are necessary, destroying any semblance of free speech, is itself evidence of the unworkable nature of the great multi-racial experiment – a situation which will become ever worse if the population of Britain continues to become ever less heterogeneous.
The fact that the UK government is increasingly usurping ancient rights and freedoms is evidence that it is they who have the semblance of fascists, not the BNP. The removal of the right to trial by jury for an increasing number of offences, the restrictions of the right to remain silent, the removal of the double jeopardy law (thereby allowing the State to attempt prosecution after prosecution against dissenters for the same offence, as in Nick Griffin’s trial in 2005 and retrial in 2006) all denote a growing tyranny. Tyranny because the reality is that the guarantee of freedom lies not in the right to vote, but in the right to trial by jury. A jury of your peers can find you Not Guilty of an unjust law, even if you have broken that law. A State-appointed judge, however, is duty-bound to find you Guilty, no matter how unjust the law may be that you have broken. Witness the USSR, or current-day China, for evidence. They both had/have many elections, but freedom did/does not exist.
Finally, the BNP are rather unlikely to record a vote of 0.0001% at the current elections. In the last General Election in 2005 they received 5% of the vote, despite standing in only one quarter of all constituencies. This was four times the total percentage vote that they received in the previous General Election. The BNP are a rapidly growing political force in the UK.
The current election is actually two elections in one. It is comprised of local council elections for parts of England, in which the BNP has candidates in a minority of constituencies, and European Union elections in all parts of the UK, in which the BNP has candidates in all constituencies. It is hard to predict the percentage vote that the BNP will receive (estimates vary hugely, between 5% and 25%) but I suspect that they will receive at least 10% of the vote, and may possibly trend towards 15%, perhaps more. We shall see.
For anyone interested in these election results who is not familiar with the UK electoral system, you may be interested to know that the results for the local counsil elections will be announced during Friday 5th June (all, or almost all, will be known by Friday night) and the results of the European Union elections will be released on Sunday 7th June. The key figures to watch are the number of Council seats won by the BNP compared to the last local election for these areas, and the overall percentage and number of seats won by the BNP in the European Union elections.

We are not British citizens nor British Subjects. We are Citizens of the EU! Britain, and especially America, has committed genocide and caused so much misery and death in Asia, Africa and the rest of the world that can never be atoned for. The UK should welcome people from that part of the world, as Asians and Africans have contributed so much to the culture of this country. Many do the work that most of us would not do and are more civil than the British. We need them. I dream of the day when we don’t have borders and there will be free movement of peoples throughout the world. I am doing my bit by building more gangplanks. By reading this thread, one would get the impression that many people support the BNP, when in fact, they are a small party with a small following. Why are there no Black or ethnic minorities in the BNP, as there are in other parties? No one can provide a satisfactory answer.

The major parties have ignored public concerns about immigration so they can't complain about this.
The media too must share some of the blame for their unquestioning stand in terms of multiculturalim.
The problem is that any debate about immigration has been ruled off limits or reduced to name calling. However, it is quite a legitimate debate to have. No one would expect Japan, Kenya, or any other non-white country to allow mass immigration that lead to the local population becoming a minority.
However, europeans are so fearful of being labelled racist that they can't discuss immigration openly. Hopefully this will change, but I doubt it.
