British Home Secretary Jacqui Smith has resigned from her office over the growing lawmakers’ expense scandal.
Smith became infamous to American conservatives after she revealed a so-called “name and shame” list of people banned from entering the United Kingdom that included talk radio host Michael Savage.
The expense scandal has rocked parliamentarians from all political stripes, who have been shown billing taxpayers for everything from horse manure to bogus home loan payments. Many MP’s were given six-figure no-show jobs in return for their vote on certain issues.
Smith was caught up in the scandal after it was discovered her husband charged the public for pornographic movie rentals. She also faced charges that she manipulated the public housing system so she could get the maximum amount allowed.
While she will step down as Home Secretary, Britain’s equivelant to Director of Homeland Security, she will continue as an MP, sources said.

Savage, who has used his radio show as a bully pulpit since hearing of his banishment from Great Britain, has promised to sue Smith for libel once she was no longer in office.
A spokesman for Smith said she would not back down from her banning of Savage.
“As the home secretary has already said, [Savage] was excluded for engaging in unacceptable behaviour by making comments that might provoke others to serious criminal acts and foster hatred that might lead to inter-community violence,” he said.
Any legal proceedings “would be robustly defended,” the spokesman asserted.
“We stand by our decision to exclude this individual,” he said. “Coming to the U.K. is a privilege that we refuse to extend to those who abuse our standards and values to undermine our way of life.”

Shall we go into the details of which racial or religious groups have been responsible for the most hate crimes in the UK? All whilst their “peaceful” preachers incite them in public. Why would anyone defend Michael Savage, he is a loud mouth fool. and anyway why would he even care about being banned from the UK,He rails against them as socialist and hates the place,he is just trying to get u raceist fools to donate more money to him, have u been to his website, he is a phoney trying to steal from his ignorant listeners
