19-year-old Clare Werbeloff has become an overnight Internet sensation for her eyewitness report of a violent street shooting in an Australian city:
For those uninitiated in Aussie-speak, “wog” is an ethnic slur used against South-East Asians. It is also used in England as a slur against blacks and likely comes from Golliwog dolls – old-fashioned toys based on black caricatures.
While over-sensitive politically-correct whiner types have branded Ms. Werbeloff as a “westie bogan“, most have celebrated her open and candid use of verboten language. Various postings of the above video on sites like YouTube have garned millions of views. Werbeloff has hired a publicist, a t-shirt line has commenced, and, yes, you can follow her on Twitter.

You can tell there is a definite difference between the roguish indie spirit of Australia and the uptight anal PC USA. If she lived in Greenwich Village , NYC and said ” I saw two queers fighting” the news anchor would apologize for the language used and her face would be plastered in the daily news rags the next day as “racist”. Al Sharpton would would go on a rant and Mayor Bloomberg would find a reason to arrest her for violating the 2 homosexuals “civil rights” and then the eventual lawsuit filed against her by Ron Kuby . Don’t believe me.. go look at what happened to Miss California.

The whole point is what she said and the difference here in the USA with the furor over Miss California’s comments and the media backlash compared to what this young gal said and how the majority of Australia embraced it.

Since the early 90′s it has been adopted as a self-identifying badge by that community, hence stage and TV shows with titles such as “Wogs Out of Work”. There’s a lot of “wog pride” in our country, and good on ‘em for taking a negative and turning it to a positive. Meanwhile, this “just came outta the tattoo parlour” chick turned out to be a liar. Oh well.
