In a stunning rebuke to their president, Democrat Party Senators voted Wednesday 90-6 against Barack Obama‘s wish to release terror suspects detained in Guantanamo Bay into the United States.
Even Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid echoed Republican opposition to the plan when he said, “We will never allow terrorists to be released in the United States.”
The six Senators who voted in favor of releasing terror suspects into the United States were Dick Durbin (D-Il), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Jack Reed (D-RI), Carl Levin (D-MI), Patrick Leahy (D-VT), and Tom Harkin (D-IA).
Democrat Party Senators Robert Byrd (D-WV), Ted Kennedy (D-MA), and Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) did not vote on this issue.
While those in favor of closing down the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba argue the 240 terrorist suspects detained there would be moved to “SuperMax” prisons in America that currently house the worst convicts in America, including “Unabomber” Ted Kaczynski, shoe-bomber Richard Reid and Ramzi Yousef, most Americans are concerned their towns and cities would become prime targets for radical Islamic terrorists, should the Gitmo detainees be housed in their state.

I’ve grown completely disinterested in what the Obama regime wants to do anymore. I decided to hand him a shovel a long time ago. Dig, boy!
What happened to all the talk of the Democrats just being puppets who would go along with anything he said? I guess not. Seems like government is working just fine to me. Checks and balances.
Thomas, liberals will help anyone and everyone as long as two things don't happen; It doesn't have a direct negative effect on them and someone else pays for it.
Gitmo detainees in their backyard violates both unwritten laws.
