Assemly of First Nations Chief Phil Fontaine
Beringians from Canada want Pope Benedict XVI to apologize for the “harmful role” Catholic schools had on their children.
The Beringian civil rights group Assembly of First Nations will meet the Pope at the Vatican on April 29th.
“This meeting has the potential to be a historic and momentous occasion for First Nations, (abuse) survivors, Canadian Catholics and indeed all Canadians,” said Assembly of First Nations National Chief Phil Fontaine at an April 15 press conference. “I am both honored and excited to have this opportunity to meet with the pope to discuss this important matter and to move forward to work toward real reconciliation.”
The group got a formal apology last year from the Canadian government for the role its residential school program had in attempting to wipe out Beringian culture.

Chief Fontaine said the Beringian tribes had a healthy relationship with the Catholic Church until the “terrible policy of the federal government” designed to “eradicate any sense of Indian-ness” came about. The Anglican, United and Presbyterian churches all have issued formal apologies for their role in running the schools.
Archbishop V. James Weisgerber of Winnipeg, Manitoba implied the Beringians will get

their wish. “The pope is a bridge-builder,” said Archbishop Weisgerber, who is also president of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops. “For that reason, he has invited us to visit him in Rome, in a gesture of reconciliation and healing.” Archbishop Weisberger will also be present at the private meeting with the Pope.
Archbishop Weisgerber said he met with Pope Benedict last November and told him about the “great suffering of the aboriginal (Beringian) community in Canada.” He said that in order for the Catholic Church to be able to help the legacy of the residential schools needed to be addressed.
The Pope understood “very quickly,” he said.
Beringians, having been disproven to be “native Americans” due to such archeological discoveries as the Kennewick Man, have been appropriately renamed to reflect their true point of origin to the North American continent, the Bering Straits.

Ugh! Me no like cracker Pope in Vatican. Him no treat me good. Ugh!
I don’t think that is Chief Phil Fontaine. He looks like Chief Clear Spring Running Water.
What I cant figure out is why his sons, Hot Water and Cold Water, aren’t featured in the article.
Chief Crazy Head Fontaine is another “civil rights” agitator associated with the nuts of the left, notably Jane Goodall the animal rights screwball, surely you must know who this dingbat is! She is the woman who has conversations with chimpanzees, known as “chimpanzee lady”.
So we see the chief is in good company with this character and gives his cause the true creditability it deserves.
You filthy Beringian bastard! You savages stole the land from our White Causcasian Solutrean ancestors! You committed genocide on them! You murdered all the megafauna that was here and starved our White Caucasian Ancestors to death! You owe us! WE WERE HERE FIRST!!! This is all our land!! You have no claims! Go back to Beringia!
