Barack Obama has ended a nearly-50-year American ban on Cuban-Americans who want to travel to their homeland and send money back home. Obama has opened the doors to US telecommunications firms who want to start businesses there.
The move comes after a fact-finding tour from the Congressional Black Caucus, who met with Fidel Castro and his little brother Raul. The CBC returned to America calling on a opening of trade between the nations.
While the move was welcomed by some in the Cuban-American community, others were very critical. Three Democrat Party congressmen, Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida and Albio Sires and Robert Andrews of New Jersey, wrote an open letter to Obama warning of “devestating consequences” in the loosened restrictions, noting that the Castro Regime takes 30 cents of every dollar sent into Cuba by Cuban-Americans. The congressmen recommended a doubling of the allowed amount instead of unlimited restrictions. Many Cuban-Americans, who know first-hand the brutality of the Castro Regime, argue allowing unlimited funds to Cuba will only fund the Regime and it’s covert operations. Allowing American telecoms to operate in Cuba opens the possibility of Cuban spying on American communications, too.

Has anybody figured out ETB's game? Is he adopting Bolshevic tactics of disinformation to make people who enjoy this site who have conservative views, look terrible by association? I was ready to quit reading it about when the News Guy spotted this guy and his aliases as a conservative poseur, and Frank IDd him as an agent provocateur. There must be some way to block his bile spewed comments.
Good point, Adirondack Jack. There have been quite a few posts from ETB/Alley Oop/Schwartz that I have not allowed to be posted because of their calls to violence and other extreme content. I also understand that ETB/Alley Oop/Schwartz is in fact married to a non-white woman from either South or Latin America, so I find this latest statement from him rather odd, and leads me to believe that you, Adirondack Jack, are on to the truth about him.
Consider this your last warning, ETB/Alley Oop/Schwartz. One more F'up from you and I'm banning you.
