At the same Strasbourg speech where he called America “arrogant,” Barack Obama bashed former US President George W. Bush and apologized for liberating Iraq.
Obama told the 4,000-strong audience of Germans and French that the world got together in the days after 9/11 but “then we got sidetracked by Iraq.”
“We must be honest with ourselves,” Obama said. “In recent years, we’ve allowed our alliance to drift.”
“We got sidetracked by Iraq and we have not fully recovered that initial insight that we have a mutual interest in ensuring that organizations like al-Qaida cannot operate,” he said. “I think it is important for Europe to understand that even though I am president and George Bush is not president, al-Qaida is still a threat.”
Obama made the remarks in hopes to turn public opinion in favor of a propsed troop sure of NATO forces in Afghanistan.

Talk about BDS, are you still whining about Bush Bashing? Maybe the arrogance he was talking about is from all the right wing morons with talk shows who have a simple minded solution to every problem
Of course we should listen to the left which is so anti American and sees the world as all it’s problems being the result of American actions. Why does right wing radio scare the left and bother them to death? Because they know that they can’t compete in a market place of political choice! Both Reagan and Bush were left a myriad of problems caused by leftists. Both sought to solve them by use of brilliance and commonsense. Can you tell me that the F.O. is sane? And what American Pres. goes abroad to bash his own country? Ans: a President who is not an American citizen.
