Judge C. Victor Lander
An African-American judge in Texas faces calls for his resignation from the bench after writing anti-White comments in a column for a local Dallas newspaper.
Judge C. Victor Lander wrote in his “View from the Bench” column for the black-oriented Dallas Weekly that Barack Obama and Dallas County District Attorney Craig Watkins, both black, were cleaning up the “mess” left behind by their White predecessors. “But black folks have been cleaning up white folks’ messes for hundreds of years, so why should we expect any different now?,” Judge Lander concluded.
Condemnation was quick for the Judge’s anti-White racist remarks. The Dallas Morning News asked, “If you’re a white lawyer or defendant today in one of the 10 municipal courts Lander supervises, how confident would you be that you’ll get a fair shake?”. Letters to the paper from White Texans also questioned whether they would get an impartial hearing before Judge Lander.
Judge Lander has also championed the Jena 6, a group of African-American boys who assaulted a young White man, in at least one previous column.
Lander, a full-time city judge for 12 years and administrative judge for 10 months, has apologized for the comment, saying it was a “flippant, throw-away line” that was “taken out of context”. Lander says he will not resign from the bench.

No Clerence Thomas.
Jeff: Clarence Thomas is GOD! That bitch didn't know how to take a joke.
I'm glad there starting to realize how ridiculous it is to scrutinize every word that comes out of someone's mouth. Too bad they created the exact circumstances that they don't want to adhere to. Good for one, good for all.
No one should be calling this hypocrite "Your Honor".
He’s got that bulginh head. He looks like Jake Zuma.
If Don Imus’s apology wasn’t enough for al sharpton, then therefore this judge’s apology should not be good enough for us. He must resign.
P. S. to the Judge: What part of Africa did you come from? Hello? You are black and American, not African-American. He's about as African as I am Scottish. Another activist cause-head sitting on the bench. Oust his sorry butt! For Imus!
Shouldn't the blacks be upset that they were called "blacks"?
They're so selective when it comes to correct wording that I can't keep track. It's no wonder I keep it simple and call them the N-word.
