Newly-released Department of Defense (DOD) records show that US Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi wasted taxpayer dollars overbooking flights on government aircraft, used the flights for family and personal use, and demanded top-of-the-line aircraft when flying.
The documents, obtained by Judicial-Watch, show Pelosi booked military aircraft for use every weekend, and in many cases cancelling at the last minute. This promted one DOD official to write to Pelosi’ handlers about her running up “hidden costs”, including, folks prepping the jets and crews driving in (not a short drive for some), cooking meals and preflighting the jets etc.
Pelosi would often include family members and use the planes for personal use as well. One example comes from May 2008, when Pelosi tried to get her husband Paul on a flight with her to Iraq, which was turned down by ethics codes. Pelosi also used airfare for her and three Congressional representatives to attend the funeral of Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, an event Pelosi called “Operation Tribute”.
Most disturbing of all is the correspondance between Kay King, Director of the House Office of Interparliamentary Affairs, and DOD staff that show Speaker Pelosi’s particularity towards certain luxury aircraft. “It is my understanding there are no G5s available for the House during the Memorial Day recess. This is totally unacceptable…The speaker will want to know where the planes are…”, King wrote. “This is not good news, and we will have some very disappointed folks, as well as a very upset [s]peaker.”

Excesses for the select few abusing their powers while the poor taxpayers strain under the weight of the fat cat overindulgences.
Pelosi needs to resign. And she also appears to be in control of Obama, have you seen Obama say no to her yet? The moment Obama says no, the congress will fold like a bad hand or bluff, and clean up their act. But Obama’s not doing it.
I’m disappointed in the Democrats, so much so, I might just sit out the next election.
Those four eyebrows are hypnotizing the electorate.
When will the government stop WASTING & ABUSING our tax dollars? When will they practice what they preach. I work like a dog every day and no one gives me anything for “FREE”.
