Not Elvis, but Ft. Pierce, Florida Guardian Angels leader Steve Horton
The Fort Pierce, Florida franchise of The Guardian Angels is on clown patrol after a spate of shootings in the area have killed two innocent victims.
Their 58-year-old, giant-mutton-chopped, tattoo-festooned leader, Steve Horton, leads a rag-tag group of self-proclaimed “crime fighters” whose names read off like characters from a Disney film – Scorpion, Sniper, Lifeguard, Diesel, and Blade. Dopey is apparently doing a talk radio show out of New York City at the moment.
Horton spoke with a local reporter about their patrols in his home garage, which is packed with weight lifting equipment. News articles about Degenerate Dirtbag Curtis Sliwa and the Guardian Angels plaster one wall, another adorned with a giant American flag from floor-to-ceiling.
“We’re hands-on in the streets, deterring crime,” said Horton.

I have health and life insurance because I work for a living and volunteer with the Angels. It is the Angels that gave me the work ethic, responsibility, discipline, challenge, and motivation to get and keep a job. I graduated from college too. As a libertarian, we need more volunteers fixing community problems not government programs and so-called conservatives skeptics denegrating volunteers for trying to help their communities. As far as I'm concerned, I'm the one using Sliwa and the Angels to help me become a better citizen, an activist, someone who goes out and helps my community instead of cowering behind a computer spewing lies and idiocy and accusing others of doing the same to detract from my own shortcomings. If you volunteered for the Peace Corps, does that mean you agree with everything the American is saying or doing? I don't know what petty greivance you have against Sliwa by why are you attacking thousands of people you have not even met?

The Treasure Coast Guardian Angels are hard working family men who want to help make a difference in thier community. They take their time to go to school and learn first-aid and cpr, self defense and martial arts, gang prevention and intervention. They get in involve with law enforcement and city officials to help patrol the toughest neighborhoods.
Its time for everyone to stand up and do their part. Lets stop hiding behind your key pad laptop computor and get involved in a crime watch program and community involvments. You must be the type who is a afraid to call 911 to report crime because you rather stay online making negative comments. The guardian angels have done a lot of good things in port st lucie, florida and fort pierce ,florida. Just because you dont have the guts to get involve, you should at least be supportive to a good cause. If its your mother or daughter who is raped or killed by a gang or drug dealer i bet you might have a different attitude towards a group who is trying to help law enforcement.

Haven't you heard stories about so-called charities where the leadership is sucking most of the money out of a good cause and leaves little to the actual charity? Curtis Sliwa is a PT Barnum huckster who comes to urban communities looking to leech off the crime situation to line his pockets! He could care less about the volunteers or the community. He went down to New Orleans after the devastion of Hurricane Katrina with a camera crew to start up a G.A chapter for a pilot for a Guardian Angel TV show! Countless charities helped out N.O and ONLY this huckster tried to profit off the misery of the community down there!! If you want to "make a difference" have your own citizen's patrol working with the local police . Don't risk your life to work for an organization whose leader is a con artist!
